Great Legacies. Owe! Owe! Owe! by babafe: 9:30am On Feb 19, 2010 |
All my Nigerian people, it is good we remind ourselves of some great discovery made by our forefathers and how do we protect these legacies. One of them is proverb. We can use the device to explain difficulty issues and resolve matters intellectually! Pls, let say proverbs in our language, their meanings and what they can be used for: Yoruba:Sanbe sun, faporori, iwa omo lomomo sokigbe Meaning: A wicked man will always be paranoid Key words: obe---knife, apo---dagger, okigbe---'juju' Yoruba use this when a man is unnecessarily afraid even in a very peaceful place probably because the man is a wicked person who has done a lot of wicked things and he is afraid because he feels nemesis will catch up with him one day. |
