WhatsApp not working - Everything you need to know about latest outage
WhatsApp has not been working for thousands of users today, with the service going down across the globe for more than an hour.
The outage began around 4.15pm BST, and issues with WhatsApp were reported in the UK, US and large parts of Europe.
According to Down Detector UK, there was a peak of 2,716 WhatsApp users experiencing issues with the service.
While downdetector.com received reports of almost 5,000 WhatsApp users experiencing problems with the service.
Down Detector said the majority of issues WhatsApp users were experiencing was with connection.
Some 54 per cent of WhatsApp users experienced connection problems, according to Down Detector.
Almost a third (28 per cent) had problems sending and receiving messages.
While 16 per cent of WhatsApp users had trouble logging in.
Independent website DownDetector, which tracks social comments around a certain topic to monitor outages across the globe, has mapped the problems.
