2gb in 1 hour well my airtel reaches 10mb/sec on modem with PC while on smartphone it hits 6mb/sec

Actually true. I went to Okota yesterday and the 3G speeds was amazing. Almost comparable to 4G.

In my area Glo 4G speed is faster than Etisalat and Ntel 4G. I suddenly became impressed with Glo.

If a 2gb game downloads for 1 hours on my MTN sim...I will go and throw it away...Glo should still upgrade

Glo has improved since they blocked free browsing three days ago

I get at least 7.2mbps on bad days and 12mbps normal with Glo in my area.

The speed is not impressive, but it's decent. What are you in?

Heavy user over here, My airtel gives me at least 1.5 mb per sec 1 gig file under 16 mins..Just throw ur glo sim away, mtn still gives me around 850kb per sec. I don't understand how you people praise mediocre standards in Nigeria.

As in, I'm startled at the way they're praising the network when Airtel is breathing fire here not to talk of 9mobile that's lightning here.
And their speed improved due to folks leaving their network because they blocked their tweak.

Lagos right? The bulk of Glo users have always been complaining so it's no brainy that their network suddenly picked up after they blocked their cheat. I don't expect much from a network that can't even set their time, I mean Glo network is usually ahead of West African time by an hour

If you are downloading a 2gig file for 2hrs, that means you are downloading with about 200kbs , that's just horrible.

You downloaded 2gb file for a whole hour? On the average, your download speed was 2048mb/3600s = 0.57mbps or 583kbps and you called that impressive?
Could there be any better way of celebrating mediocrity?

It's not the phone, it's a Glo thingy. I tried it on other phones. I recall times I had to set date and time for people using Glo unless they've managed to solve it.
Another instance were times I had to update my date and time manually for WhatsApp to function cos auto update failed But like I said, it's a negligible stuff but I love orderliness.
You're using a 4G SIM so you won't see the plight of 3G users who are more in number.
