It is very easy to blame PDP....and yes, they do take a lot of the blame.

But the real blame is structural. From independence, Nigeria's economic prosperity has been based on a flimsy foundation of exporting raw materials and sharing the money which is then used to massively import stuff we would have done better to manufacture. (Meanwhile, the West takes our raw materials and makes products from them that sell for billions more than we sold them for. And we buy some of the stuff!)

PDP is a party that was made up of people who are used to this system. As is the APC (Akume, who is chattering used to be a PDP Pillar in the middle belt once upon a time).

It is this system that is the cause of all our problems and has been fueling things like religious and ethnic intolerance. APC had a chance to change this system by investing in Nigeria's productive capacities. Instead, we continue the same old oil and raw material dependent economy .

Nigeria should stop behaving as if there is a big national loaf of bread for sharing. Fact is, there isn't, and we all have to work to get the ingredients to put up the loaf. Otherwise, even the fabled restructuring would amount to just rearranging the chairs, and painting the table

These people no get shame. Who were the PDP people who distroyed the country? You joined pdp to finish the country, change your garment and now claim to be saint. If people should open their mouth to condemn pdp, it should not be former pdp members. Shameless people. Wolves in sheep clothing.
GidiParrot:
Former Governor of Benue State, Senator George Akume while addressing Zone B APC Women Leaders and their Deputies in Makurdi on Friday, said:

"Don't lose hope in the APC. This party inherited a damaged system that is undergoing structural repairs. Better days will soon be here. PDP Caused us the Pain we are in Today and shouldn't see their party as an option"

Senator Akume was elected governor of Benue State under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in 1999. He was again re-elected in 2003 for a second term in office.

He left PDP for ACN and later to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Why is it that these APC politicians behave like common criminals at every opportunity?
This guy was a PDP Governor in Benue for eight good years! His colleague, Senator Gamade was a PDP National Chairman. Audu Ogbe was also a one time PDP Chairman. The present Governor of Benue, Ortom was a PDP Minister.
So, which PDP is this liability talking about?

Some of these former Pdp politicians will bring down Apc before the end of Buhari's tenure.

I just pity consistent people like Tinubu, Buhari , Ogbonaya Onu, Prince Momoh, etc that folded up their party to merge into Apc

Before all former Pdp members are Apc by noon and Pdp by night

Imagine this man excluding himself

Why is it that black man always want to blame someone else for his mis did. Akume under PDP govt did nothing in Benue state as governor,God'll pay Nigeria leaders who are evil and family with endless diseases of no cure
Re: "PDP Caused Us The Pain We Are In Today" - Senator George Akume by Nobody: 11:23am On Sep 09, 2017
Let's make sense out of this. Wasn't he once a part of the PDP? If so,let him know that he was part of those who brought the pain upon Nigerians. And now he has moved on to another party to continue from where he stopped. Funny how people still sit down to listen to Nigerian politicians these days.

Aufbauh:
There is no amount of propaganda, preaching or hate speech against the APC that will make me change my opinion of distrust about the PDP.

Truly the PDP is not and will never be an option for me in the future. If you've given a man 16 years to prove his worth and he failed then, you have tried.

It's only kids who can't read between lines and disgruntled elements who believe that the sorry state of the nation should not be attributed to the actions and inactions of the previous government.

I guess Obasanjo should have also blamed the military when he took over power in 1999..We where taken back to the dark ages when ur saint buhari put a stop to the democratic regime of shehu Shagari which lead to over 16 Years of Military rule courtesy of this same Buhari..We should also blame him too..

It is failures that would keep on doing the blame Game. .No doubt about that..Blame ur guy buhari for messing up Nigeria and not the PDP who's major occupants of this same PDO are in buhari's govt..
