its supposed to be a day to show love to the less priviledged in society. eg that person or persons you absolutely cant stand, or who you despise for whatever reason. the lovey dovey to "sweethearts" is a recent invention, i dont think the stories about the origin of valentines day involved any of that. **actually, that was wrong, seems the lovey dovey has been attached to valentine's day since the 16th century or so, according to wiki** |
