• We Ethiopians gave shelter for prophet Mohammed daughter and his followers and also treated them well in all aspects in the 7th century AD, but their convert Muslim Ethiopians, Somalians, Ottoman Turks and Arabs tried to erase us in the 16th century AD. I read about Ilorin Emirate after seeing your comment and indeed it was a betrayal by Muslims to Afonja.

If it wasn't for the Portuguese help, the civilization of Ethiopia would have definitely been completely lead to waste by Muslims. Hundreds of thousands Christians were slaughtered and beheadinds were very common. We were saved in the 11th hour, but the Oromo ppl who started their invasion of Ethiopia in the 1520s accelerated their brutal expansion after the Ahmed Gragn was defeated and lead waste to the civilizations of many of Ethiopian provinces like:-

- Arababni
- Hadiya except some parts of it's western parts
- Dawaro
- Sharkha
- Fatagar
- Wej
- Shewa except some of it's northern part
- Amhara
- Angot
- Gafat
- Damot
- Bizamo

• The Adal sultanate in which Imam Ahmed Gragn ruled was also reduced to a wall city state of Harari by the brutal Oromo ppl invasion.
