People tend to act as if there’s no other way to show their images but by sliders. This simply isn’t true. The truth be told, I for sometime now have tried to change my themes. Reasons being : I needed a theme with slider.

Until lately, I stumbled on an article, then I figured that maybe sliders ain't really necessary.

Often times, SEO Experts and conversion experts agree on the fact that sliders make little or no impact on a site.

I wanna share reasons why it is not advisable to make use of slider in websites

1 Only 1% of an audience actually click on a slide, which almost always was the first slide.
2 Most times than often: Sliders confuse people, as you’re sending multiple offers they may or may not be interested in at once.
3 People simply ignore your slider, because it triggers banner blindness.
4 On that same note, visitors just don’t get the message http://trendingnow.com.ng/reasons-you-shouldnt-make-use-of-slider-in-your-website/

I don't use slider, but that doesn't discard the fact that sliders make your blog look more cute, especially if you have a neat and well designed blog. If your blog looks dirty, adding a slider will make it more ugly. My opinion though.

Post Sliders are great but in order to make it rocks well, ensure

1. You set it to display on PC View (most readers on mobile view don't find it interesting)

2. Set the timings to be a lil bit slow. If the slider timing is too fast, audience won't be able to make their choice on reading the one they'd like

The most import stuff is to organise info on your website well. More Developers must embrace mobile friendly templates that keeps information at the retina level across all devices.
At bfitconsults.com that is what offer. Sliders made with GIF are great and simple and conveys all values as a unit.

On our platform (bfitconsults.com) we used GIF to animate our logo (bee) flying in and out of our service (building mobile friendly websites)

Creativity is in the mindset. If you cannot use slider that doesn't mean you will rule it off. Good concept with slider helps you achieve single page application i.e adding more content on the landing page or index. Just be creative by making text bold, use catchy words and reduce the time frame of your slider making it crawl while sliding. Check this https://africamagic.dstv.com/West/home

Thanks

This is my opinion

I love sliders alot, I think it brings out uniqueness in a webpage if properly utilised.

A Slider is a good form of advertising your content but it's advisable to use it only on PC view why is that most surfers don't usually use script enabled devices when they go mobile and you know sliders are powered by scripts. So I will say unless you are using sliders for an e-commerce site or something related, I'll advice you not use slider on your pages.

Remember my opinion

Most websites using a carousel doesn't need it, do you expect me to wait and be reading everything on each slide I wonder who came up with the idea.

I quite agree with the op to an extent but don't you think slider shows enough details about your website without taking so much space.

That's the point.....we don't or barely take our time to read each slider page. so, why do we stress about it?

Actually this article came with a lot of research and actually it's an opinion and more like it's a choice to rule it off or not. no harm in trying new things out. If sliders work for you.....fine......I just listed this points, so people like us that feels that sliders are all, would change their mindset
