A recent report on the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu, the wanted leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, reveals that he has escaped to the creeks, somewhere in the Niger Delta, a situation said to be causing sleepless nights for security outfits on his trail.
It was reported that Kanu alongside top leaders of his group, went into hiding following the declaration by the Nigerian Army that IPOB and other Pro-Biafran groups were terrorist organizations.
Investigations by Sunday Punch on Saturday, September 16, revealed that Kanu and his top lieutenants had ‘disappeared’ from his country home in Afaraukwu, Umuahia and other places he frequently visited.

Although his current location is not exactly known, The Point reports that there are strong indications that Nnamdi Kanu is hiding in the Niger Delta creeks with some of his aides who escaped the heat of the Operation Python Dance in his home-base recently.
“The Point exclusively gathered that fierce-looking and gun-wielding militants are now shielding the IPOB leader in the creeks”, the media wrote.
The report also alleged that a top security source, craving anonymity, expressed worry that Kanu’s escape to the creeks might compound the problem on hand, “as the harmless pro-Biafra leader will now be turned to a warlord, as he is surely going to be tutored in the art of war by the militants.”
According to an IPOB source who said their leader will not be leaving his hideout soon,

“We have to apply wisdom to whatever we are doing. We have realized that there is a grand conspiracy against Kanu and other top leaders of our group.
“Just imagine barely few hours after the Nigerian military declared members of IPOB and other pro-Biafran groups as terrorists, our own governors came up with their own outright ban of our activities.
“This definitely will give the soldiers and other security agencies the opportunity to arrest our leader and mount a deadly clampdown on all IPOB members. So, it is better to operate from a hideout for now.”

In the same vein, some IPOB members, who also did not want their names mentioned, explained that Kanu and others were advised to go underground, following the declaration by the Army and the decision of the South-East governors to proscribe the activities of pro-Biafra agitators in the region.
Also, Kanu’s younger brother, popularly called Fine Boy, who reportedly spoke with a correspondent of The Point, said the troops could not get at the IPOB leader during the September 14 attack on his home.
Fine Boy, who regretted the killing of many IPOB members during the attack, said that Kanu was now far beyond the reach of the military.
“The invading troops did not get at him and he’s not among those taken away. The whereabouts of the leader (Nnamdi Kanu) cannot be known. But they succeeded in killing as many IPOB members as they saw at the palace. In short, they have desecrated the palace,” he added.

Well, his whereabouts are unknown and now that his lawyer cannot find him, he has applied to d court to order the army to produce him since they went to his house to effect the arrest of an unarmed civilian. They must produce him.

If the useless army could raid NUJ in Abia State for going about their lawful business so they wouldn't be captured on camera perpetrating their heinous crimes whilst funded by taxpayers money, is it not obvious they've either kidnapped or assassinated d young man who was already on trial?

Around town? Show of force? The boys that challenged them were on the road abi? Why did they attack Kanu's residence? Why do u have pictures of his residence riddled with bullet holes? They surrounded his residence from d get go, that couldn't have been d venue for their show of force could it? The army needs to explain what they were there for and why NK is no longer in his residence awaiting his next trial date.
