Evil people!!! The north knows they stand a better chance of ruling the country more and will fight any region that supports a weakened FG. More monies for FG from revenues from petroleum, north rules more, loots more and also controls the oil-wells too. A weekened centre will also directly and indirectly breaks many monopolies held by the north e.g Dangote. Fear north!!! 6 Likes 4 Shares |

I thought they say they are the food basket of the country and that their land is replete with diverse natural resources? Why are they are afraid to develop on their own? They can't imagine their lives without the handouts from Federal Govt! Nonsense Northerners!! 5 Likes 1 Share |

The emir of Kano warned them, but they shouted him down out of egoism. He told them the truth "if Nigeria disintegrates, the North would be the worst affected region". He was right and they know it. Now, they're fighting for their lives. When Nigeria disintegrates (which is a question of when, not if) the North would be just like Chad or Niger republic. The only thing they'll have over there would be more mosques. 9 Likes |

SalamRushdie: You are deluded if you think the North as a whole do not want restructuring because as things stand certain Northern states would be the biggest beneficiaries of restructuring. The value of some of the minerals available in many of these northern states is 2-5 X /kg the value of crude oil, indicators shows crude value would drop drastically over the next 5 years. Agriculture and trans Saharan trade is also very important. Do not be deceived , these guys don't even represent the totality of opinions in their states not to speak of the North as a whole. 3 Likes |
