very funny!
Catalan secede ko na precede !
do you understand what is called a non binding referendum!
Next week Spain will play Albania and after that Barcelona fc will play Athletic Madrid.
but all these Catalan politicians whose plan was to cause chaos in Spain for greed they are on their own to face their own litigitation problems
These are events scheduled to hold, and it will definitely hold. They are not political incline.

Because they were under Spain and FIFA decided to registered Spain . If Catalonia secede, Spain will still be in the competition and not Catalonia, thats why pique was saying yesterday that he is ready to leave the Spain national team. As for Barcelona, it is a company and the owners can run it how ever they like. For now they have not seceded, but if they do, Barcelona will join premier league.

A local government has no such right in Europe. Keep dreaming.
hey sist...read lots of your posts today and it's so unfortunate u got yourself arguing with those that know close to nothing. And the interesting thing is, they're adamantly audacious in their ignorance. How on earth can someone say Catalonia is now a "country" when in actual fact, the referendum which called for independence did not hold? How on earth would someone be so daft to say Kurdistan is now an independent country, even though the US, U.N. and all the powers that be did not support its referendum? What's the purpose of a state being independent without foreign recognition? These people, based on their antecedents (mostly Biafra supporters) are quick to praise the ongoing independence calls in Spain, Iraq, UK, and Cameroon while ignoring the call of the Palestinian people. To a great extent, Palestine is an "independent" state but lacks foreign recognition. No matter what Catalonia does or the Kurds, if they fail to get international sympathy and recognition, the path to statehood would be extremely rough for them.

Are you still dreaming? Did you need to be told about what happens yesterday, the Spanish govt knows why, that was while the send such force to stop the vote yet they couldn't. They are already seceded. it d very bold on the wall.

A referendum that was deemed illegal by the EU and Catalonian supreme court, A referendum that was organized by Pro-independence leaders, A referendum where ballot boxes were already filled before voting began-which was captured on tape-.

If Spain refuses to grant them independence (which they definitely would do), feel free to go and grant it to them.

The problem today is that every ignoramus feels like he is an expert on politics, economics and history. Inform yourself first, properly and profoundly, take the time, and then talk. I have no problem with different opinions but I have a problem with opinions based on ignorance. And I get irritated when a person argues blindly ignoring all facts. Nobody can know everything but everybody should allow himself to be corrected if necessary.

Imagine this ignoramus here comparing secessionists movements with Brexit. Totally unrelated and completely different legal cases.

The most ridiculous thing about the Biafra endeavor was for Kanu to pretend that Israel and USA would endorse it. He was either ignorant or deliberately misleading. And since people are mentally lazy to get all the facts together, they followed him blindly and now look like utter and complete fo.ols.

Knowledge is power!

It's Spain's richest region so their independence would be a a pretty big loss, I've always heard that they don't even consider themselves Spanish, the violence is disheartening

And also the region with the highest debt.

You're right, though Spain would be taking a loss, I also don't believe they would necessarily be as economically viable as many think on their own or survive without the EU

Both sides would lose.

And also the region with the highest debt.

Put a context to it.

Catalonia contributes $262.96 billion dollars yearly to the Spanish economy. That is 20% of Spain's GDP, more contribution than California makes to the US economy.

Their total debt profile is $87 billion (16.34% of Spain's debt with only 0.01% of that being long term).
