Shame: Delta State Government Suspends Scholarship For First Class Graduates by MVLOX(m): 3:30pm On Oct 11, 2017
The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board recently suspended its state sponsored scholarship for first class graduates of the state.
THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY OF THE BOARD COMRADE ELIJAH OLOGE IN A LETTER ADDRESSED TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN , EXPLAINED THAT THE STATE COULD NO LONGER CATER FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME DUE TO ITS
FINANCIAL DOWNTURN.
SUSPENSION OF 1ST CLASS GRADUATE
SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
I Write to convey the Board’s resolution as it pertains to the 1ST Class Graduate Scholarship Scheme, that due to the prevailing economic situation beveling the State, the Scheme is hereby suspended.
The board is however aware of the fact that most beneficiaries solely rely on this scholarship scheme for the payment of tuition and other fees. Notwithstanding, the Board has to lay bare the plight of the State Government as it can no longer cater for the scheme as a result of the financial downturn of the State.
We regret any inconvenience this action may cause you.
Comr. Elijah Ologe
Executive Secretary
