It is no news that the present day Nigerian politics is riddled with violence and thuggery at all levels. And this saddening reality has made the political scene unattractive and a no-go-vicinity to the educated and Academically enlightened citizens of the country.

It obviously would take more than a bold and fearless mind for a graduate who has spent consequential years in the university to acquire sound education, to go ahead and trade his/her peaceful life for a horrible-and-blood-coated Nigerian political life.

And the bitter truth is, without the intellectuals at the helm of Affairs in Nigerian politics, Nigeria would continue to cycle round in mediocrity.

So my question is, do Nigerian intellectuals have a place in Nigerian politics?

Do Nigerians care for intellectuals? If they do they have place. If it's about trivial issues not really.
