Some fraudsters have taken advantage of the $150m grant to defraud innocent youths. This one goes by the name Obi David Onyekachukwu. Bank name: FCMB, Account No: 4431283013. He circulated a message on whatsapp about a company called shellgivers working with world bank and central bank to grant cheap loan to the youth in order to help the start their own business. He claimed u could request any amount between N50,000 and N1m. After 6 months you start paying back gradually with 10% interest in total. Also, you you get paid 45,000 for each youth you refer to them. He claimed it's a grant that is why they made it so.

They charge N3,000 for the form. After payment the victim is asked to upload evidence of payment. Then they would reply saying your payment is verified. They would send the victim a form to fill in which he or she will enter personal details and the amount of loan needed. After the information is submitted they would reply informing you that your information has been received and that you should expect your loan in five working days.

They would send emails reminding you to refer people so that you earn extra. At the end of 5 days they would email you congratulating, that the loan you requested has been granted. The victim is then asked to pay extra N4,000 as compensation fee to claim the loan. They say your loan would be paid out as soon as they receive your payment of N4,000. Once the N4,000 is paid out, end of story. Their victims end up losing N7,000. Please these persons need to be brought to book. Imagine how many more victims they can scam. You might say Why would a person pay for the form. Yes, for the states that are giving out the grant you must feel a form and many of them charged for this form. So it's difficult for desperate youths to tell the real from the counterfeit as they want to try their luck.
