CHRISTIAN lawmakers, yesterday, painted a glooming picture of Nigeria, saying it was on the brink of total collapse. They also lamented that the delivery of public values has ceased to be the essence of governance as Nigerians could barely access basic social necessities. According to them, these challenges have shaken the very foundation of faith of Nigerians in the leadership. Nigeria The lawmakers said Nigeria needed divine intervention from the Almighty God to save it from total collapse.

The federal lawmakers, under the aegis of Christian Legislators’ Fellowship, have, therefore, set aside next Thursday, October 26, 2017, as a day of national prayers for divine intervention. Briefing journalists, yesterday, on the planned national prayer breakfast, chairman of the prayer warriors, Senator Barnabas Gemade (APC, Benue North East) said the prayer, with the theme “Reconciliation: God’s Power and the New Pathway to National Unity,“ aims at convening people of all faith, tribe and creed to appeal to God for righteousness and Godliness in leadership. Gemade said: “Since the past seven years, our political and socio-economic landscape has been characterized by threats, which have both regional and international implications. “To Nigerians, those years could have seen our dear country emerge stronger from the shocks and effects of the global economic crisis.

We have, however, weathered these storms; we are still at present, a reflection of a country at the brink. “Recently, hate speech, divisive and secessionist quests raise their ugly heads, but we fortunately overcame. “The delivery of public values has ceased to be the essence of governance as our fellow countrymen can barely access basic social necessities.

These challenges have shaken the very foundation of the Nigerian people’s faith in leadership.” He disclosed that the National Prayer Breakfast which started about eight years ago, took its cue from the American Prayer Breakfast put on ground by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1953. He, however, added that President Muhammadu Buhari would serve as the special guest of honour at the prayer session, while the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, will deliver the keynote address

You all know the problems but your love for your stomach cannot allow you voice out the truth. Nigeria has gone to the dogs because you all failed to make laws that will benefit the common man. You all allowed the lie from last election to win the truth.

You have not started crying yet, all of you will still witness what we witness on the ground if you don't change now. You all stand aside while the army use innocent people for target practice and you just stay there and pray? Did we elect you to go pray or go make laws that will benefit us.

You all need to start making laws that will divide this contraption, cause it will never work.

If you like pray till eternity...Nigeria will remain on the brink and even dissolve if the sensible things are not done.

Once the winner takes it all persist. Once the arrogance of a particular region that contributes nothing but takes the lion share of things persist. Once inequality and injustice persist. Once defective structure persist. Once mediocrity, favouritism and crude nepotism persist...Once a tribe is favoured above other tribes like the Fulani herdsmen, persist...Nigeria will always remain on the brink and even dissolve with time.

Disenchantment against the good will medical assistance, from the military, is clear example.

National prayer?
I wonder what they will be praying for!!
Bunch of clowns.God helps, those who help themselves. How can you people be collecting the salary of 20 civil servants in a month yet you people have the Gut to organise a National prayer to ask God for what?
when you people have the opportunity to make law that will help the common man, monitor and call back the executive to order yet they won't do it because they are scared that their monthly allowances will stop flowing in.

God still get time for naija so...??

What Nigeria has become is still a mystery. We pray like hell yet Wickedness is the order of the day.

The Prophets and Pastors are now from two camps. God's own pastors and prophets and Satan's own Prophets and Pastors. All of them actively working hard to win souls.

The spiritual children of Ishmael are doing their own too globally populating graveyards with reckless abandon as their own soul winning.

Yet we pray and pray and pray.........but wickedness is even increasing in geometric proportion.
