The State Commissioner of Information for the Kano state government, Malam Muhammad Garba says the state government spends N110 billion annually on the payment over civil servant s in the state.
Making the disclosure today, he explained that the State Government has not relented in its mandate at ensuring better welfare of its work force in spite of the dwindling fortunes of the economy.

He said “I want to inform you that in spite of the economic recession in the country, the state government does not owe workers a single Kobo as at today. “It is our stance that payment of salary is an obligation to any serious government, hence our decision to ensure that workers are paid as at when due”.
