Sanusi claimed that monies that should accrue did not accrue from sales of petroleum resources made.

It was simple mathematics which was absurdly unknown to the finance minister whose job it should be. She eventually did her own mathematics and revised the value of un-accrued funds to $10b.

In this current case, no one has even made accusation that funds were missing or did not accrue or that the contracts did not exist.

Kachikwu simple highlighted claims that he was being sidelined and his approvals were not sought.

As per sidelining, NNPC has demonstrated with evidence how Kachikwu made recommendations on some companies, and how those firms were considered based on objectivity. Or are those Kachikwu's cronies you mean, since he recommended those firms?

As per approvals, NNPC has maintained that it did not require Kachikwu's approval. And they have provided documentary evidence to defend their own position that due process does not require Kachikwu's input.

They have no apology to give on that matter, and the contracts remain valid without Kachikwu's input as Junior Minister and NNPC board chairman.

They have also gone a step further to show that Kachikwu assigned fictitious figures to some "non-project" contracts.

It is obvious to the rational minded that this is a clear power tussle between Kachikwu as de facto minister, and NNPC who only regard the de jure minister. If the president does not clearly define Kachikwu's position and also surrender the de jure minister position to him, this accusations of sidelining and insubordination will continue.


So if no stakeholder has alleged missing funds, who are you to make allegations?
