There are photos and names of dead SANDF men killed by Seleka and I avoid posting it just to respect the dead.

@Andrewza claimed 1,000 Seleka men died, yet no local people or foreign media has a single photo of their dead body or even the wounded/injured alone.

Truth is minimum 15 SANDF died and zero Seleka died....until you show us any single verifiable photo of a few of the 1,000 Selekas.....Only South African soldiers died and the rest surrendered, begged for mercy, got safe permit to run to France at the airport, took next available flight to Pretoria..
.... grin grin

Go ask Seleka Generals to open-up the grave of it's fighters so you could feast your eyes on decayed human remains as it seems you're obsessed with it.

They're pure trash.

Nigerian military academy trained Zimbabwean military officers for many years.

Now 2014 Zimbabwean army generals are in Nigeria to learn modern COIN warfare tactics, they accept us as superior, they know SANDF is inferior that's why the traveled from your own SADC region to school in ECOWAS region under a Nigerian army training academy

NN is not worried about SAN.

NA artillery will sink your Frigates up to 30km from our coast.

NAF ATR-42 will find and direct Alpha Jets to sink your Frigates 500km away from our coast.

Whatever you do outside our EEZ oil rich zone, we don't care, it's international free waters that belongs to nobody.

Feel free to even fish there, it's NOT Nigerian territory, just beware of France that has Navy ships sailing around Gabon....or else you will be made to realize that white men ruled you till 1994 grin

SANDF faces funding crisis

The SA National Defence Force (SANDF) is facing a "catastrophic" multi-billion-Rand financial crisis that could force mass retrenchments

"Various options were being considered, he said, including cutting employees and extending working hours between now and March 2015."

The South African National Defense Force - A Military in Freefall
Despite an eagerness to use the South African National Defense Force (SANDF) as a means of projecting the nation's influence abroad, there is evidence that South Africa's government has so neglected or mismanaged its military assets that it may soon be unable to defend itself, much less engage in international adventures.

Who was it again who dropped a cool calm $400 million on a single exercise?

"Bangui - South African soldiers in the Central African Republic are seeking safe passage to the airport after taking heavy losses during fighting with Seleka rebels, Reuters reports."

"Amy Martin of the UN's humanitarian agency, OCHA, told the BBC World Service that the SA troops had retreated to their barracks and were seeking safe passage to the airport."

"Seleka spokesperson Eric Massi said the rebels had broken through a line of South African soldiers during their push into the city."

You ran away.

They all say, you begged for forgiveness, and ran away.

At about 10pm the force commander was informed that the Seleka commander wanted to discuss stopping the fighting.

After a quiet night, the base was again attacked at about 6.30am, but after about 30 minutes the Seleka commander telephoned to ask for a meeting, saying he had 2 000 troops with which to attack the base but would prefer not to. He approached the base holding a white handkerchief to identify himself, and met with the force commander at the gate. He said he had no orders to fight the South Africans and was happy to break off the engagement if they would not fire on his troops.

That is not only reflected in the fact that this small unit retained cohesion to the end of the action, but also in the casualties that it inflicted on its opponents: such casualties that it was the Seleka rebels who proposed a ceasefire and disengagement.

Their valour was underlined by the French force at Bangui airport when it held a formal parade to bid farewell to those who died.

"South Africa has the oldest infantry troops in the world"
. Lol.... The SANDF is a retirement home.

"Unfortunately, the SANDF is already sitting with an array of expensive hardware that it cannot deploy, either because it lacks the skilled crews – hence 12 mothballed Gripen aircraft – or because it can’t afford the running costs."

"The air force, for example, has been reduced to being a flying limousine service for African National Congress politicians"

" However, it’s a fact that while the SAAF’s helicopter squadrons receive a generous allocation for VIP flights – last year the Durban-based 15 Squadron got 300 hours flying time to ferry the Zuma entourage to and from Nkandla – they get very little for training and nothing at all for sea and mountain rescue."
