Normal for a super manoeuvrable fighter.

Ugandan pilots aren't that happy, cause of their salaries.

You are a dolt.

I made that comment in respect to the SU-30 video, not salaries.

Prove it.

Besides we know your pilots aren't that well trained.

You don't have pilots. It isn't even a question of training. SAAF personnel are too dull to fly the Gripen.

Why 15 years? Our gripens do not have 15 years. Do not count the time during when the arms deal started. Count from when the first delivery was made. You must remember, Jets are not as simple as buying cars and get drivers thereafter. It takes time to develop one single jet and to produce pilots to fly them. One jet cockpit is totally different from another jet. Hence, there is no single Nigerian today who can fly a fourth generation fighter. SA has way more than 9 pilots as you say. All nine pilots are qualified and as well approved by SAAB to serve as instructors and train other pilots.

Why are you begging and going all emotional? undecided undecided

You signed the Gripen deals 15 years ago, in aa couple days time, it would be 16 years.

And in all that 15 years, you've only managed to train 9 Gripen pilots, and some how you expect to get some applause for your incompetence?

It sure as hell didn't take the Czech Airforce 15 years to raise a total 80 air crew and ground personnel for an exercise in far away iceland.

Nigeria is going to get between 26-40 4th GEN fighters, and I assure you, it won't take the NAF 15+ years to raise 9 pilots.

We have the Freedom of information law in Nigeria. You don't in South-Africa.

No, your resources have been squandered, this is way your A109 fleet is grounded, only have 3 C-130's and your 9 pilots only fly 1hr30mins per month in the Gripen.

You are right - we dont have that law

Because we dont need it when we have the Constitution of 1996 which grants us rights and privalidges you can only dream of

A109s were groundes due to paperwork, it had nothing to do with funds - do you want me to expose your lies?

3 C130's operational on SAAF because we take maintenance seriously, how many of yours are operational? How many of yours are operational?

14 Gripen pilots who get kver 50 hours per year

Now answer my question, if SAAF is at peace, and is smaller than NAF yet is considered "broke" with a simular budget to NAF - what does that make NAF?

Gripen D double sitter have first made their way to SA in 2008 with others arriving in 2009. Which means they have about 5 years in SA.

The first gripen C single sitter fleet only arrived in SA in 2010 with the final fleet in 2012.

Here the final fleet only have 2 years since they arrived late year 2012.

So, you think it takes only a month to build a fighter jet. However, gripen have only about four years in SA.

Low level low speed maneuvers which are useless in combat

Those maneuvers were developed by russians who needed them to either bleed speed for emergency landing on smaller russian carriers or to abort landings

Nigeria's Defence budget for 2014 is 5.9 billion, approximately 6 billion. The President approved an extra-budgetary 1 billion dollars at WEF africa, and an additional 1 billion in loan.

Nope, your budget is nowhere near that as i have shown many times.

A paltry $500 million more than us

Nah!! It is $4.8 billion as confirmed by sources and $1 billion worth of loan was not part of the budget. It was spend directly by the federal government (ministry of presidency) for acquisition to fight BH.

Lies!! Gripen D arrived in SA in 2008 and 2009. Gripen C arrived in 2010 and the last fleet in 2012. So, how do you exactly count the years?

You begin pilot trainings as soon as you sign the contracts.

Fool, not after deliveries are made.

That's what we did with our first nine Gripen Ds. Remember, we cannot all train our pilots in Sweden, others will have to be trained in SA by South Africans.

In fact, Nigeria leant about that law from SA. It is called PAIA ( promotion of access to information act) in SA. It had always been there before Nigeria could think of enacting theirs.
