South Africa does NOT make any aircraft rocket pods, even THIZA cannot find one to show us. SAAF imports rocket pods from Belgium, but Nigeria makes our own rocket pods.....something you cannot do !!!!

This is a high-drag, straight cylindrical 19-tube reusable 70mm launcher designed for helicopter use. It is used in conjunction with theTDA FZ 70 mm FFAR rocket system.

It is 1.93 m long when fitted with an optional removable rear fairing. It has a body diameter of 402 mm and weighs between 252 and 256 kg depending on model type when loaded with 19 rockets equipped with FZ 71 warheads.

Interface is by standard NATO 14" MS3314 lugs, for capture in a MIL-STD-2088 compliant rack.

Used on:
Rooivalk (4 x underwing)

Made in Belgium rocket pods. Show me the rocket pods made in South Africa, or else you can come buy made in Nigeria rocket pods.
