Google Chrome To Block Redirect Links And Popups In New Update by Nobody: 3:41pm On Nov 09, 2017
Google Chrome will begin blocking some redirect links and difficult popups in an effort to crack down on significantly annoying internet advertisements excluding Google advertisements.

Google Chrome understands effectively that there are numerous issues their customers hate in regards to the web. Amongst them is the way in which an internet site takes you to a totally completely different web page and even open a brand new tab once clicked on. Beware, these hyperlinks may distribute malware and trackers from adware. Google has lastly determined to block redirect links from Chrome.

The update will roll out with Chrome 64 and Chrome 65 for desktop and Android. Chrome 64 will not automatically execute redirect hyperlinks which might be embedded in an iframe. The third-party redirects will likely be shown in an information bar on the web page, requiring the person to manually click on the advert.

This offers us the choice of viewing issues of our personal decisions slightly than being compelled.

Ryan Schoen, Product Manager at Googe talking about this update yesterday through a blog post says,

“Together, these protections will dramatically improve users’ web browsing experiences while still allowing them access to all that the web has to offer.”

Along with the brand new Chrome features, Google says it’s opening an ‘Abuse Experiences Report‘ console that can let website owners see when the newly-blocked advertisements have been served to their websites and take away an advert Google has declared abusive. The update shall be accessible to Chrome customers worldwide very soon.

Long overdue!

All these unethical Digital Marketers who, while trying to circumvent Google Ad Policy on certain products/services, patronise these "wicked" affiliate marketing platforms and third-party pop ad networks will be made to bite the dust of digital marketing. grin

Pop Ads, unscrupulous redirects, unethical native ads, illegal email scraping extensions and phishing links should be banned. tongue

Yes o.
Most of those pop-ups are so annoying, few you can't even close easily.
It's what I call annoying advertising.

While I understand the need to advertise at any chance, it shouldn't be bastardised.
