Did you miss the point, or you're just being deliberately diversional? The idiot is a teacher!

You missed his point. They don't have enough well educated people to employ enough teachers in the north. Most of these guys are better off focusing on agriculture than teaching in classrooms.

The fundamental misjudgment we've made as a country is to assume everyone is cut out for the formal education. Some of these peeps up north will do well as semi skilled artisans.
And the North needs not compete with the South by forcing their people to be educated; they should concentrate on their strength and focus on agriculture.
Best comment,
but must we speak this English like our colonial masters did, eeh! We no get language for this country self!!!

This is candid and wise.

The most annoying thing is that despite his poor academic ability,he has a higher chance of attaining the highest political or administrative positions in this country than smart, brilliant and suitably qualified people from southern Nigeria. That is why we are still where we are.

This is a normal thing in every part of the country .When I was serving at omu Aran, Kwara state , I discovered the only teacher with the best command of English was the biology/Agric teacher. The rest , their English makes you purge . Especially the maths teacher. It not just a northern thing .

lol...the guy is a "motherer"..

I begin to even question the credibility of universities and other higher institutions of learning up north...

those guys graduating with 2.1 and 1st class in UDU or BUk will not survive 2.2 in UI

Mockaroo:
Most of us mock this teachers, yea it awful, but bar some few exceptional teachers in the south, most of them are also the samething, the only difference is that in most yoruba, igbo, calabar and other ethnic groups in the south, they speak most of english or pidgin from childhood which makes them not too vulnerable to vocal errors.. the north on the other hand speak their core hausa from childhood to death except few who are offsprings of their elites...
And who is to be blamed?
