It's Neo natal breast engorgement. Sometimes it's normal occurrence in some babies. It starts to develop a few days after birth or before birth. It's as a result of the maternal hormones in the womb that the baby was exposed to. It's benign, so no worries. The hormone responsible is the same hormone that causes a womans breasts to swell and glands to start producing milk during and after pregnancy. Sometimes, worried parents press the breasts and express milk ( Galactorrhea ) from it. It is not advised. It will naturally shrink weeks or months later, after there isn't any more exposure to the hormones that caused it in the womb. 8 Likes 2 Shares
