With more technology, often comes more opportunity for criminals to hack into security systems with speed and precision never before seen.

Check out this Yahoo news story. Two men in disguise pull up outside a suburban UK home with a new Mercedes parked in the driveway.

The men get out of their car, deploy a pair of transmitter boxes specially designed for the job, enabling them to clone the key fob that starts the car, by way of receiving the security code THROUGH the wall of the car owner's house, before unlocking the car door, entering the Mercedes, and driving away with it, all in LESS than 60 seconds.

It is absolutely certain that this car-theft modality WILL surface in Nigeria, so be aware that there IS a means to protect your car from such an episode of "remote control" key cloning. Simply store your smart-ignition key in a METAL box, when you are at home, and the signal needed to clone it will NOT be readable from outside your home.

You heard it here first. Car theft MODALITIES have officially entered a new phase, and many who did not read this news story, WILL lose their cars to thieves using this very technique.
