The problem with nigeria is Religion and ethnicity and that's is never going to stop anytime soon..

How can someone from the north be admitted into a higher institution with 100 as jamb score while it's counterpart from the west/south needs to score 250 in the same exam to be admitted into the same university..
A country where there is no equality and justice can never see development..

My point, divide the country n watch how every region will grow in a short while..

South East is the problem and parasite of our great country.

The total surface area of south east is just 28,350 while South West is almost 90,273.

They leech on other regions resources through their children like Almajiris in other regions of the country while these good for nothing leeches are enjoying their federal allocation without other Nigerians.

Out of 7 oil producing states, they only have two states and the two states only produce 6% of our national oil output being used in the country and sold in international market.

Why would they have 13 judges?

It’s high time Mr president call their bluff and damn these ingrates.
they why do u oppose the birth of Biafra?

Hausas/Fulanis/Knauris would have developed their agriculture back, developed solid minerals mining and developed their oil rigs, Yorubas would have fully developed their Corporate industry including manufacturing and mining, then we (Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri/Yoruba) will let Biafrans go and live in their Biafra Republic. Simply put, we milk you dry and leave you in the cold.
Ahahahahahah an industrious tribe remain an industrious tribe. Wherever took Hausas and Yorubas 24yrs to achieve will take Igbos 2yrs to achieve. There is no way u can stop a moving ocean. There is no defeat in the dictionary of Igbos, so get it

How does Buhari come into this story? You still have 6 more years to wail for Buhari. Then another 8 years to wail for Osinbajo or whosoever becomes the next president from the South-West. Then, presidency goes back to the North and you will wail for another 8 years. That means total of 24 years of wailing viz; 8 years for Buhari, 8 years for Yoruba president and another 8 years for Northern president. So, safe your strength and wail with sense because this is a long distance wailing.

You should pray for Buhari himself to last 6 years.

How does all these appointments affect the common man in the street. The north has always gotten a huge percentage of appointments since 1960 but we are the most backward and poverty ravaged.. As far as I'm concerned these appointments are only for the greedy politicians and their families, what we want to see is a better life for the citizens

This appointments are made by the judiciary, the njc in particular.it doesnt concern buhari please.the are an independent arm like the legislature and executive.the court of appeal should not have more than 90 judges with 15 coming from each geo zone.since there are more judges fron the south, the north has to cancel the deficit necessitating the latest recommendations.any criticism should go to justice onnoghen and not buhari but onnoghen did the right thing.myopic and hateful people would turn a blind eye.up apc.

ABUJA—The National Judicial Council, NJC, yesterday, denied allegation that the South East region of the country was sidelined in an ongoing process that will lead to elevation of 14 Judges to the Court of Appeal bench.

The Council, in a statement by its Director of Information, Mr. Soji Oye, said it considered merit and geographical spread in the appointment of Judicial Officers to the Court of Appeal. It maintained that in considering appointment for 14 vacancies currently existing in the appellate court bench and to ensure that each zone is adequately represented, states that already have three serving Justices were excluded.

NJC said its attention was drawn to an on-line publication and in some newspapers alleging that none of the candidates it shortlisted for appointment to the Court of Appeal was from the South-East. “This allegation is nothing but a figment of the imagination of the on-line media as the exercise is on-going and no candidate has been recommended so far. “To put the records straight, appointment of Judicial Officers to the Court of Appeal is done on merit and geographical spread. “Section 2 of Court of Appeal (Amendment) Act, 2013, governing the appointment of Justices of Court of Appeal provides that the total number of Justices to be appointed should not be more than 90 plus the President.

The Court however, currently has 76 Justices leaving vacancy for additional 14 Justices. Of the 76 Justices of the Court, the North Central with 6 States and FCT has 12 Justices; North-East with six states has 12 Justices plus the President; North-West with seven states has 9 Justices; South-East with five states has 13 Justices; South-South with six states has 14 Justices and South-West with six states has 15 Justices. “In considering appointment for the 14 vacancies, and to ensure that each zone is adequately presented, all states that have 3 serving Justices were not considered unless under special circumstances.

“The states not considered are: Anambra, Bauchi, Borno, Cross-River, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Gombe, Imo, Kogi, Kwara and Oyo. “States like Adamawa, Kebbi and Sokoto have zero representation which informed the need to include them in the current exercise. “Appointments are made to the Court based on the elevation of Appeal Court Justices to the Supreme Court, retirement at the age of 70 years, or death. Such vacancies are filled with judicial officers from the zone of the Judge who died, retired or elevated. “It is therefore unfair for the online media to claim that the National Judicial Council recommended no candidate from the South-East which currently has 13 Justices at the Court of Appeal. “Journalists are pleased advised to always balance their report to avoid litigation,” the statement read.

If you read Nigeria history very well

You ll realise one fact

That fact is Hausa/Fulani are your masters.

They determine what your destinies turn out to be as Igbos

They dictate your life as an Igbo

We are Yorubas

We rule Igbo listen while Hausa/Fulani keep quiet

We rule your fathers and now ruling you their worthless children

We Yorubas control your destiny through our economy in South West and development which your kinsmen couldn’t resist

Trust me, even the democracy you are enjoying today, Yorubas made it happen
