ladensmith: For a man of vision it is enough. One of my young mentors (under 35) started his business with the equivalent of 3, 500 naira. If you know what you want to do you don't need to start with everything in place. You can start with the smallest necessary unit and build up from there. |

Raiders:No. Nigeria actually embraced it but the recession actually curtailed the purchasing power of the consumers. Majority of people could only afford the cost of basic and very essential commodities such as food, transportation etc, even to pay children school fees self no be joke. its not really easy, its not Konga 's fault but the reality of the economy. Good thing is that they are paying them 5months salary upfront which is quite fair. Let them invest it wisely and use it to start something for themselves no matter how small. 4 Likes 1 Share |

mayorall: Buying from Amazon is not rocket science. I have been buying from them since 2001. Why not guide him on how to do it rather buying for him? If you buy for him, the cost of the goods will increase because of your charges. I am buying a 4TB external hard drive from Amazon tomorrow. 2 Likes |

SmartyPants:This is flawed and kindergarten analogy. Yes,one should look at the positive side of being layed off because its happened and brooding over it will only hinder your looking for options, but a single month of not earning money can actually cost you about 3months of that layoff salary in real terms. 1 Like |

Zanas: This has nothing to do with recession. Jumia has taken a large chunk of the market. Something is obviously wrong with their marketing strategy. They need to change their strategy lest they become extinct. 2 Likes 1 Share |

SmartyPants:Let me just allow the insult pass for today. But do you know how much is the worth of the 5months salary. Hope your ain't looking at investing the money in hawking gala, handkership or at best betnaija or baba Ibeju business because somebody that doesn't know the actual value of a 5months lay off salary but already has plans for it already has failure written over his forehead. Assuming they are contract staff at say 30k/month, 5months gives u 150k.The only thing you sound like doing to me is betnaija, baba ijebu or MMM. You brag and plan like those type. 1 Like |
