We also know that there is a lot of respect and benefits that come with being married. However, the high rate of divorces and broken homes in our society today has made some of us scared and unwilling to go into this uncertain Union, considering the fact that we can still have one or few kids without necessarily being married.
We also have notable figures and role models who have preferred to be single, with the obvious reason of the ups and downs that are interwoven with marriage. Do you think that marriage is a 'Do or Die' for you ?

it all depends WHY someone wants to get married. the majority of marriages fail because people have wrong/false expectations about marriage.
if you truly want to spend the rest of your life with someone, and have the best intentions, then its no big deal.

marriage is not compulsory. Our typical African society want us to think it is, but the real truth is that, it really is not.

You can be happy and fulfilled without being married. Don't let them tell you otherwise.
