This story is a real with some elements of fiction and change of names to protect the identity of people involved.. Please pardon my grammatical blunders and correct me. This is more like a freestyle writing..
I have read stories from some great writers (Therock5555, Classcaptain, Foxyflow, Flow1759, Onihaxy, TheBlessedMan, Angelinassto, Oyinprince, LarrySun, Davidflo etc) here, and i feel inspired to give writing a shot. Abeg if i nor remember mention your name now, nor vex. I go mention am later..
Warning: If you one misbehave, abeg go reason am again cos i get SARS number, na just to send them your address and your life will never remain thesame.
NB:This story is sweet so, if you are a dibetic patient or you are watching your sugar level, please keep off.(i don't want to be held for murder) lol.
Please, if you don't know how to smile, stop reading from here. Its an offence to carry a long face(frown) here.
Life is too short to be waste your precious time frowning(losing moments of happiness).

Somewhere in Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe (DESPO). In no particular order, i will be sharing the experiences and encounters i had while i schooled there. Relax and enjoy.
On a very cool sunday evening when hunger made me asked God why i wasn't born with a silver spoon, i was confused cos there was no foodstuff and my account balance was reading 2 digits (if you like doubt, na you
All my debtors (guys) refused to pay me the money they owe me blaming Buhari's govt for their lack of funds.
Have you ever been hungry to the extent that you begin to feel headache? If yes, you'll understand), if no, pray you don't experience it.
I was in that hungry man mood when i remembered one of my guy(Mega) who has been inviting me to his place since 1st semester and i have been avoiding to go. I picked my phone n called him, he said he was at home and i told him i would be on my way to his place shortly, so he should visit his kitchen department cos i need
something to fill my stomach infrastructure, he laughed and said no worries.
I made the sign of the cross, na God get power!. Who say na hunger go kill me for dis skul wey i com, e no go work. I freshened up n set out for Mega's place.

I got to Mega's juction, called him to tell me the name of his lodge, he texted me as soon as the call ended. His lodge close to a branch of one popular church in campus.
When i got there, he was already outside waiting for me. We shook hands and entered inside his house.. Strong smell of weed welcomed me into his room with sound of loud music coming from another room which i later discovered was the parlour ( its a 3 bedroom apartment).
Mega was very happy to see me, i met some guys smoking in his room and he introduced me to them as his brother, we hailed eachother and shook hands (guys life). I was enjoying and nodding to Wizkid's track ( Ghetto youth) blasting from the speaker when my stomach gave me a battery low signal by rumbling. I called Mega aside and told him the condition of things.
Me: Guy, see if you nor do something concerning my belle now ehn, something go do me o, and e go be bad thing.
Mega: blood, calm down. Na so the hunger strong reach? Wetin you dey do for house since wey you one use hunger kill yourself ehn?
Me: you nor go fit understand, alert wey i dey expect bounce! All my debtors just dey jonze me. Guy make we go eat now or just go dey learn how to write statement now cos if i collapse, your own don finish, community go 1st com drill 50% comot for your life before kpor-kpor(police) go com pick you and finish the remaining half.
Mega: lol. your fada. Oya make we enta mama's kitchen( a popular restaurant) make you eat 1st b4 hunger Rest you in peace..
Me: Your real dad! Lol..
Na so my guy enta house, collect him wallet, tell those him guys say we( me n am) dey com back na na. We blow bike go mama's kitchen, i order for eba, he order for rice , waiteress bring food, i nor com fit eat again ( nor blame me, the hunger don too much).
In DESPO, the fear of community is the beginning of good behaviour. Omo, anything wey carry you go their secreteriat (their court), dem con find you guilty, e don be for you be that. Sorry go be your surname.
|Re: My life at DESPO by WHIZKIDEFE(m): 3:45pm On Dec 07, 2017|
Mega: Broda, wetin dey sup? You sure say na hungry dey beat you so abi na sickness. I nor like dis your mood o, abeg if na play stop am.
Me: relax, i dey well. Just dat e don tey wen this kind hunger worry me. I go gain my strength back just nw..
I was stil battling with my food when one of our coursemate (Jessica) walked in, she sighted us, and walked to our table. "Good evening, my swt hrts, thank God i met you here, you will pay for the food i came to buy" she said. "Sam, look at the way you are struggling with your food, can i come and join you?" i nodded. She came, washed her hands and joined me.
Jessica was the type of girl that forms porshe and the perfect definition of a hungry girl( i am not belittling her o, if you neva jam her type, you no go understand..).
She falls in the category of those set of girls that can use their last dime to buy designers without having food in their kitchen (are you getting it?).. She raised topics, i only nodded while Mega and her kept flowing. After eating, she went n ordered for take away(bill on Mega) and left.
Mega and i stayed at the restaurant for a while before we left..
A piece of advice for all those living fake life style out there.
Always be yourself, the right people will accept you for who you are.
Sometimes those people you are trying to impress are not even looking your way..

We got to Mega's lodge, this time they were boys sitting outside smoking weed while others were focused on their thier phones and laptops.. "Mega my boy, where you go since when i dey find you, you don forget say we get birthday for Legit(a popular hotel/club)?" a young guy asked. "Chairman, i no go fit forget na, me and my broda go tidy something for belle before" Mega replied.. Mega looked at me and said "broda, na my boss be dis o, go hail am" i went to where the young man was, shook hands with him and hailed him, i did same with the rest igbo-smoking boys there. After the greetings, Mega's boys called him aside and they talked for some minutes before they came back..
Mega's boss: make everybody come inside make we welcome this my boy(Mega) brother.. We all went inside, this time, 2pac's (california) song was playing from the home theather. All of boys sat while i stood. Mega's boss, went inside his room and came out with a bottle of Andre..
Mega's boss: big boy, nor vex for wetin you dey see o, all of us for here na brothers. You see this your broda(Mega) na my very loyal boy and i like am well well thats why i dey welcome you specially. On a norm, nobody suppose carry anybody com here, but i just like the way you take dey. Make the talk for nor too much, welcome to Somalia, HK (hustling Kingdom) of confirmation$ upon confirmation$. Feel free to join us anytime you like, you are always welcomed, with that he popped the bottle open, poured some in a glass, gave me one and shared the rest among themselves..
HK means hustling kingdom, a home where a group of G-boys/buggers live, to learn formats(work) from their chairman. The chairman takes a certain percentage from each of the boy's successful confirmation.
Confirmation here means a client's delivery(payment).
I am not encouraging cyber crime(yahoo yahoo) o, just sharing an experience..
Will update later.. Make i go prepare for Shiloh 1st.

After the introduction, the rest boys went outside to continue their business (smoking and gisting). "Mega, you don chat your work(client) this evening?" Mega's boss asked. "No o, chairman. My sub finish dis afternoon" Mega replied.
"Oya, go carry your lappy com connect hotspot, make you start to dey bomb. The maye when go bring your benz money dey online dey wait for you" M'boss said. "ok boss, i dey com" Mega replied.
I just sat on one corner observing everything without saying a word.
I am not a good boy neither am i a bad boy, you might just call me a goodbad boy plus i'm an ambivert (abeg go ask your dictionary or google am).
See, the level of Gee-boys' faith is very high (am talking from experience). I was jejely sitting on my corner o, when one of the boys (Joe) came into the room, with a parcel of weed in one hand n his phone on the other. He came to where i was and showed me his chat with his client.
" big boy, you see this my woman, she dey go westie (western union) tomorrow go deliver my dollar bills when i go take soft this month" joe said. I smiled and congratulated him in advance ( make e nor be like say i be enemy of progress). " this one na her first billing o, if she deliver am, Omo everywhr don good be that o. After chairman (HkBoss) don collect him consignment, I go use the remaining money pay all the debts, vasa all the boys for Hk, enter boutique go collect some designers, send my mumsy small tin make she take hold herself, spoil my babe with enjoyment and buy enough weed when go dey ginger me to work" he listed. Correct guy! I hailed him. " if the next control(dollars) com ehn, i go buy this lodge, buy one wicked Spider(car) for the road, enter Legit(hotel/ club) go carry all the casket wey dem get for their club" he continued.
Bros, your voltage too high o, take am easy abeg. I told him while lauging.
"big boy, na block money dey com so o, i go give dem Dangote and Otedola race for this country, dem go hear my name, dem go hear word!" He said, raising his voice at this point.. I was just smiling at him thinking i have seen the worst when Bobby walked in..

|Re: My life at DESPO by WHIZKIDEFE(m): 2:01pm On Dec 09, 2017|
Bobby walked in sipping from a bottle of half filled red label with a straw . " Joe, why you dey volatge(shout) anyhow, dey disturb the peace of this Hk, Ogun wan kill you now?" bobby asked no one in particular.
Let me give you a brief description of bobby. Bobby is a 26yrs old with a body of Rick Ross, got the tattoos all over his hip body like Lil Wayne, and a stoner (smoker) like WizKhalifa. Bobby can smoke for Africa! Weed one finish d boy career.
Bobby is a money-miss-road kind of guy. He lives an extravengant n lavish lifestyle without a backup plan (savings).
That boy client don give am 2 metre$ (million), he blow am finish that week, start to dey beg for sub the next week..
I don't know if its just me o, but i have observed that only 5% out of 100 yahoo boys have sense (invest/ save for the rainy days).
"Every hustler get im day, but some no get sense.
The money com, you like carry everything buy Benz," - Erigga (Yab dem)
Some moments/situations will make you think you are a failure(i'll explain later).
Back to Bobby, he took Mega's phone, called his girlfriend and asked her to go and wait for him at school gate (Atm) .
"Mega, this your broda dey well o, na street boy?" bobby asked. I nor be street boy o bros, i be city boy" i quicky replied him.
"ah baba o, na wire-wire you dey run? Abeg carry your boy along o. I dey plan to enta Malaysia next month make i go learn the work b4 o, but as you don dey here so, everywhere good be that" bobby said. Bros bring your mind down, your blood too dey hot. Someone cannot play with you? I hear your scores for Club TM last week o, say bottles of andre dey cry for your table. You just dey order casket upon casket unto the big name wey you be" i fired back.
Advice: if you are in some kind of settings, you gat to be bold o, if you keep quiet when you are suppose to talk back, they will take advantage of you, and all the jokes will be on you.
Mega and Joe were just laughing at our funny war of words (hype). " Mega, this your broda na dead o, he too get mouth. So he just dey form jjc since abi?" joe asked. " na him dey there so, ask am" Mega replied him.
" ehen Joe, that my Chinese woman dey form strong head o, she dey say we must video call before she send the money, her friends dey tell her say i be scam, she don dey fear. I don try convince her tire say her friends dem na haters, she no dey believe me again. Dis one weak me, and she get block o" bobby complained. "Go give Hkboss make he work her for you na" Mega suggested.
"oya o, make everybody go ready make we enta Legit. Make we go shut down the club, make dem feel the presence of Somalia for there.. Make dem know say we get Doinz, nor be say dem say, make we go kill dem with activities" Hkboss gingered everyone. In few minutes we all set for the birthday party at Legit Hotel (club).

We got to Legit some minutes past 11 that night. Before we got there, i initially told Mega that i didn't feel like going with them, i just wanted to be home alone and play music(my addiction) till i sleep off but he didn't buy the idea. He started persuading me to be with him, that my presence is giving him morale. After much much, i changed my mind, so my guy can enjoy his clubbing to the fullest (some sacrifices we make for the happiness of our loved ones)..
Immediately we stepped inside the club, the MC started hailing Hkboss, "Money man, the confirmation$ master, i welcome you and your crew specially dis night. The activity master, welcome" those were words of the Mc.. We headed straight to the VIP section upstairs, i saw some of my Hushpuppi wannabes course mates(acquintances) who were in the company of some G-guys(chairmen). We hailed eachother and headed for our spot and relaxed..
If you are clubbing, you will observe that every G-boy wants to be noticed(the competition is real). Thats why dem boiz do all they can to be noticed by the MC.
Imagine after many sleepless nights and many subscriptions, luck smile on boiz( client pays), they will go to the club, carry caskets upon caskets just to outshine their fellow buggers and get recognition from the MC and go broke again on the spot..
That sound of siren and undertaker theme song dey give the boys one kind joy wen i nor fit explain.. Omo, that moment wen Dj go pause music just to holla your name, all eyes on go dey on the table wey dem dey carry d casket go..
When e set, Hkboss ordered for 1 casket of baileys, all the boys in our table were shouting voltage!!. I was on a lowkey sipping my black bullet jejely and observing when it happened.

Observation matters alot (nor be OT o). Now let me chip this in: if you are going to anywhere(party, event or club) people are gathered, always be at alert.. Never let your guard down till you get home.
Back to the matter. Evrything was going fine until we heard sound of broken bottles and someone screaming painfully. Like play like play everywhere don scatter o, e don burst!
I grabbed the nearest empty bottle of Baileys close to me, i nor one hear say dem use me shine for this club.. Self defence is bae.
"When e cast for Egypt, Moses shele, form Rambo till you jam beta gbe-ghe" this line from Erigga's 'where you dey since' track best describes the situation of things that moment.
When e burst, na all man for himself o. Everybody you go answer their papa name. That moment, one guy just run go rush the bouncer (maybe dem get personal beef), he burst the bouncer head with one bottle of heineken. "my head o, my head o, i don die o" the attacked bouncer cried. I didn't believe i could fly till that moment, com see the way i dey fly tables and chairs pass. Evryone was finding a safe place to hide their head when we heard a gunshot outside. Na once evrywhere silent like grave yard..
Mega was sitting close to me in the corner we hid ourselves. Guy, shey i tell you before say i nor like com dis place today, but you nor one hear. My body nor just move me to enta dis club today, but i gats do am for you, how e con be now? I asked him. "broda, we for follow your mind o, your body don give you the sign before sef" he replied. No lele sha, na to find way discharge from this place be the thing now o, when the worst com to worst to to fly fence, just zero your mind like that" i replied him.
We managed to sneak outside the club through the back door. It was right outside there i saw Mr Ali (strict lecturer) layed down soaked with sweat, panicking (fear one kill the guy). Mega, see Mr Ali o, see as the guy humble. Later he go com class dey form Commando. I said and we laughed.
We approached Mr Ali, and i delibrately greeted him so he would know i saw him. Na so shame holl the man..
Everywhere returned to normalcy within the next 30 mins of the Army's intervention. The guys that started the fight were caught and taken to their guardroom (i pity their life). Army get level o.But by then many people don gbess.
We got outside, stopped a bike and headed to Somalia.

Time check (about 2:30am). The bike man charged us twice the actual amount, but we entered without pricing cos bikes were few by that time and their demand was high. ( the fewer the bike, the higher the fare) and the struggle to get a bike at that time was real, coupled with the club saga. Everybody wan reach house quick to avoid stories that touch.
We were almost close to Somalia when we heard voices of girls crying and boys shouting ahead of us. I told the bike man to stop, he parked and we came down. Mega and i walked ahead a bit to spy what was going on there.
Lo and behold, we saw a Hilux of the great Nigerian army. Some people layed down beside it, some knelt down while others were doing frog-jump. (too much trouble for one night).
"kai, you dey crase? who say make you raise your head?" A soldier asked, whipping a boy in the process. "ah! mummy o! daddy o! mummy o!" the boy screamed in pain. His shout angered the soldier more, as he kicked him and more whips followed.
" you idiot (a girl), why you no just nake'd go the club? See wetin you wear comot your house with your clear eyes, brain dey pain you?" that was followed by a brain resetting slap. Na so the girl just piss for body there o( power of army man slap) her brain was restored to default setting. She fell down and was shouting "oga abeg o! Abeg o! I won't try it again please! She begged.
"sharrap dia, foolish girl. If those anyhow boys molest you now, na you go first say we army no dey do our work. Your parents know say you stil dey outside by this time?" the soldier asked, giving her more hot slaps.
"Ye! Jesu! Jesu!!. Ejor sir! sorry sir ! Abeg sir! I will do it, i will continue, i no go stop it again" a boy was shouting. He was doing frog-jump while being flogged. I nor sure say the boy na Winners' member o, but 'His Case Was Different'.
He carried dread, with earrings and a nose ring on, as if that was not enough, he was putting on an army Camo singlet which he sampled ( that moment wey devil one play with your life). Every drilling was a hit, back to back.
We just stood there watching our fellow students(clubbers) being worked on(drilled). I was right there thinking about my life like 'wat if na me dem dey drill like dat'. I no go gree o. The officer should kukuma kee me o.
I'm not afraid of the army, but i dey give their uniform maximum regard. Lol. Don't com and imitate me o. If you do, sorry go be your papa name..
I have been heard stories of people being drilled on their way back club at night, but that was the first time i withnessed it live and direct (e good make your head get oil o).

When some students get admitted, they tend to display all kind of immaturity.
Relax, Let me explain. Maturity does not come with age (thats why you'll see some 20yrs old behave and speak maturedly than some 40yrs old). If maturity comes with age, there wont be a fool at 40. What am i even saying sef?.. Lol.
Its immaturity that makes you see some students who gained admission behave like a freed lion that has been caged.
They display and want to do all the things they haven't been allowed to do and explore all the places they have been deprived from going while at home (by their parents).
Its not good to cage your child(ren), cos the end result is not always cool. You might end up training ( beast(s)/loose) children who will start unveiling their killer traits once they leave your watch.
Thats why you see some girls get pregnant even before their 1st semester exam. While some boys will starts smoking and engaging in all other social vices.
Your ability to think and behave well without the watch of your parents makes you matured.
There is a big differnce between an Adult and a Big-Baby(boy or girl)..
Am not against life of the party and social activities (i am big a fan). But my problem is that most students gets carried away with it (e dey enta dia head). They easily forget their primary aim of going to school (study plus mental, physical and social improvement ).. If you are among these set of students who v lost focus in school, Receive Sense!! *smiles.
I am not a prophet o, but right there at the drilling spot, i knew many students vowed never to walk at night again (no more clubbing or birthdays).
Those boys who carried dread locks would visit the saloon to get a proper haircut at dawn cos some parts of their hair was designed(cut) with scissors. While the girls with bum-short and skimpy gown were properly flogged. Visible marks(evidence of whips) could be seen on their laps( i guess they would miss lectures for some days).
Personally, i vowed to always follow my instincts, no matter what. I cannot com and kill myself for anybody.
We went back to meet the bike man, gave him the gist of what was happening ahead, (na so fear hold the man o) he made sign of the cross and entered his bike.
Oga where you dey go? You wan go die for free? I asked him. " no o, i leave my wife and children for house, i nor get body wey army go flog. I dey go my house, ona good night" he replied as he sped off.
Why bad things dey always happen to good people sef? (abeg tell me if you know) Wetin we con do to deserve that kine treatment from the bikeman. Na crime say we give am situation report?
Right there, i started confessing all the sins i could remember i committed to God cos anything can happen.
Father God, abeg, i don jonz and fvck up for your side well well o, i don loose guard, i don sin big time but abeg, forgive me. Incase na today you wan call me, keep my special space for heaven for me. Cos the way this nite dey go so, e don tire me..
God, i know say you promise say i go be billionaire for my generation o, but incase you change your mind, abeg accept me. I prayed to God in my mind frustrated. I was confused cos i dont know what might happen next..
Have you noticed that we tend to remember and get closer to God mostly when we are in trouble?
To be continued.....
Please invite(mention) your friends to this show. Item 7(coke and popcorn) dey, courtsy of ikdbabie..
Oga Divepen1, please, you must come and read and correct me o. Lol

Mega, the way things be now, na two things involve; it eaither we dey here till the army comot or we go back to Legit. How you see am? I asked him. " no wahala, na to wait o cos i nor get that strenght to waka now o" he replied me with his eyes close (highness don dey work on am).
Guy, wetin dey do you? You wan die now? I asked him laughing. "bros, Tm and codeine good o, if you get fare, just dey go house now cos me, na flight i dey book so, Dubai things" he replied smiling..
" shayo no dey disappoint person, my brother, shayo na bastard o. Last time i indulged in some hot drink, i nearly run mad o" that Falz's line in 'Shayo' began to make sense to me.. I forgot my own worries at that moment. I start to dey think of ways i go take carry dis semi-madman(Mega) reach house.
Mega even if you one crase, why you choose today of all days? I asked him worried.. "joe go die for my hand today, he con collect my maye abi" he replied me still smiling. Shut your mouth dia, iiddioot, make ona leave highness alone, ona no go gree. If i hear pem from you again, i go wear you slap. That moment frustration starting to get me angry, i just dey transfer aggression to my guy for free..

I held Mega's belt cos he was staggering and attempted to run ( weed at work). I held him down for about 30 mins before the army left. Those got weak from the drilling started calling their friends/roomies to come and carry them home.
"Johnny, lets break up, please. I don't think this relationship will take us anywhere. For me to be flogged this way on the first day i decided to go out with you is a sign. Maybe God used this one to teach me a lesson, i quit" a girl said sobbing (those ajebo kinda gals). "Baby, it hasn't gotten to that na, ordinary flog dat they flogged you, is that why you are calling it quits? Her boyfriend(Johnny) asked.
" yes, in my whole life i have never been flogged till today. I was even told in the dream not to date you but i didn't listen, now look at my body, see the result of my disobedience" she said pointing to her bleeding laps that was flogged.
" shebi i told you not to wear that gown, did you listened to me? You were forming too sexy for me, you want to seduce other boys with your fresh laps, dem no flog you reach sef" Johnny replied getting pissed off.
I forgot about my own worries at that point. I was laughing at the exchange of words between the 2 lovers..
Why e be say e dey hard to admit our our mistake? We should please learn to take responsibility for our action..
