The Federal polytechnic, Ado Ekiti has appointed Dr Dayo oladebeye as the acting rector of the polytechnic.

The appointment, by the Governing Council, followed the expiration of the tenure of Dr. Taiwo Akande, who served out her two term tenure of eight years in the saddle as Rector effectively by midnight of Sunday 17th December 2017.

By the appointment at the order of the Chairman, Chief Austin Edeze, on behalf of the Governing Council, Dr Oladebeye, who is a serving Deputy Rector and current President of the Alumni Association, thus becomes the first Alumnus of the Institution to become the chief executive of the 40 year old Polytechnic.

The new Acting Rector, joined the services of the Polytechnic on 30th December 1987, having graduated from the Institution with HND distinction in mechanical engineering in 1986.

Widely published as a scholar, Dr Oladebeye who obtained higher degrees from two other institutions, including FUTA where he earned a Ph.D, is a COREN registered Engineer among other professional bodies which he belongs.
