In our imo state our useless incompetent governor Ozodigmgba has looted everything in imo state, used state funds to buy a wrist watch worth about $800,000 while imo workers aren't paid and infrastructures are dilapidated. At least Obiano built international airport, international convention centre, roads, stadium, flyovers, bridges, hospitals, schools, etc. Very soon imo indigenes will bundle Uzodinma and throw him in a garbage dumpsite. cheesy

Don’t know why some of you intelligent Igbo are still believing these schmucks are actually Igbo and from Anambra! Surely you’ve noticed their divisive antics on here and on other Igbo-themed threads. Just check out the last two pages on the Enugu and Imo threads to see them at their malicious, malevolent, divisive and quarrelsome best? Their intentions are to derail these threads….make it look like Ndigbo are at each others throats….and Ndigbo despise Mazi Kanu while giving Buhari and his marauding Fulani herdsmen/bandits/terrorists a pass!

Even the slant of their arguments (like the fool you just quoted) gives them away as most likely being northern muslim 5th-columnists and impostors masquerading as Igbo! Check above my post….one of them has just launched a new alternate moniker, now pretending to be Ika, and littering the thread with complete gutter talk and rubbish!

It would be a fair assessment to posit that in the past few days, about 80% of posts on Igbo-themed threads (including this one) are actually from non-Igbo! Mostly abuse, anti-Igbo comments and comments aimed at setting the cat amongst the pigeons! But i’m here for them!

Very true, they have been trying to derail this thead for a long time, claiming to be Igbos and using alternate monikas to create an argument that does not exist

Ndigbo are the most difficult pple to govern. I think it has become worse since the peak of Ipob menance. Soludo must be on alert now. A governor is on ground to right the wrongs u people have been complaining bitterly of and it’s now time to start work pple are busy fighting the government. The greatest undoing is Obiano allowing this touts to grow in numbers and assume legibility on Anambra roads. Now it’s seems difficult for the incumbent Governor to curb their activities. The last he tried, they went about carrying out arson in his local govt

Here is not Igbo thread but Update in Anambra state. Be guided.

It is very comforting to see this tariff list for various traffic offenses.

They should put in place a good enforcement team and ways to make sure the money goes into the state treasury. They should also publicize it so that everyone knows the penalty for breaking the law.

SOLUDO REITERATE CALLS FOR LOCAL CONTENT, MEETS WITH OFFICIALS OF NATIONAL AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

By Christian ABURIME

The Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo has lauded the National Automotive Design and Development Council for their efforts in promoting local contents and automobile industry in Nigeria.

Governor Soludo made this remark during a courtesy visit to Mr Jelani Aliyu, Director-General/CEO of the Council, which is a subsidiary under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Commerce.

"I am a promoter, advocate for Made-In-Nigeria contents and already championing this cause by making Innoson Vehicle my official car," said Soludo.

Mr Governor mentioned that the drive and creativity he has seen in the past speaks of the great potential that exists in Nigeria. He advised on the continuous need to look inwards to see how the abundant potentials in the country can be harnessed and improved upon.

He assured of his support towards the automotive industry policy document which is being updated and would go live soon.

Governor Soludo also gave his assurances of unalloyed commitment to promoting the adoption of the policy to ensure that Nigerians and public officers patronize their local industry and Made-In-Nigeria cars are mainstreamed.

The Council made a presentation on progress recorded since inception in 2013, where they are right now and how Anambra have been pivotal in the drive towards the industrialization of the automotive industry.

The plan for Anambra industrial park is ready, some pre-work have started and the administrative office is 90 percent complete.

Few weeks from now, a proposal will be sent for the implementation of the Anambra Industrial Park Plan.

Anambra has been pivotal in the drive towards the industrialization of the automotive industry

On its part, Anambra Government is required to construct connecting roads, provide solar lights, construct drainage systems, conduct geo-contour and geo-technical survey on the land.

Governor Soludo during the meeting requested the Council to setup an Automotive Training Centre in the State. The DG in his response requested the State to make available one hectare of land for the training facility.

Governor Soludo promised to swing into action to ensure the Anambra Automotive Industrial Park becomes a reality in the nearest future.

Fulfil Your Promise By Removing Touts Or Forget N15,000 Tax – Anambra Motorcyclists Tell Governor Soludo
September 23, 2022
NEWS
The motorcyclists and tricycle drivers, who have been protesting in Awka since Thursday lamented that the burden of taxation and exploitation was too much for them to bear.

Commercial motorcyclists and tricycle operators popularly known as Keke Napep riders in Awka, Anambra State capital have called on the state Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, to fulfill his promise of getting rid of touts or forget about the N15,000 monthly tax imposed on them.

The motorcyclists and tricycle drivers, who have been protesting in Awka since Thursday lamented that the burden of taxation and exploitation was too much for them to bear, saying they could no longer afford hire purchase tricycles given to them.

Recall that the state government had asked Keke Napep riders across the state to pay N15,000 tax per month, promising to end illegal revenue collection by getting rid of touts and illegal tax collectors.

But speaking with SaharaReporters on Friday at the popular Arroma Roundabout at the heart of Awka, some of the protesting Keke Napep riders said that the state government had unleashed its tax on them for the implementation of the N15,000 levy while they still paid touts at every terminal.

The protesters carried placards with various inscriptions including “Soludo: Solution please help us solve this payment out because is too much for Keke drivers”, “Soludo please help us. The money is too much for us to be paying”, “Say no to N15,000”, “We no go pay”.

One of the protesters who identified himself as Joseph Bassey said, “We don’t need Agberos (touts). What we are saying is that Soludo asked us to pay N15,000 monthly for each Keke rider but the N15,000 is too much for us to pay for each person per month. At least N5,000 is okay for us.

“Since April, the governor asked us not to pay any money again to agberos but since then till now we are still paying them money. In fact, we have paid N500 to agberos this morning. How will it be easy for us to be paying the government N15,000 and still be paying agberos N500 every day?”

Another protester who refused to mention his name pointed out that particularly in the Ifite axis of the city, “We pay N1500 and stop at Book Foundation and we will not even reach the school gate. If we pass the Book Foundation, another set of agberos are there collecting N7000. What is the essence of paying the government N15,000 and still be paying agberos?

“Every day, we pay N1500 from Arroma Roundabout to Book Foundation, paying for Government House N600, while every Friday is N800. Who loses, the government or we? How much do we make a day? It is either the government stops agberos, then we can pay the money because the summation of the money we pay to the government and the agberos, it is about N35,000 per month.”

They alleged that their supposed leaders were the ones fueling the forceful implementation of the N15,000 levy by the government, adding that Thursday, some government tax force raided their park and took some of their colleagues to police station for failure to pay the levy.

Bassey said that they have tried to explain to the government officials that they are still finding it difficult to register their Keke with the government but to no avail.

“I have gone to the Government House several times but the registration kept showing invalid OTP (One Time Password) and it is not only me. Even the people who came to harass us yesterday, we tried to explain to them that the government has not rectified the registration issues we have been complaining about but they refused to listen.”

According to them, “agbero is the problem of the Keke riders and as for now, we don’t have any union or government. We are on our own.”

SaharaReporters’ efforts to get the state Commissioner for Transportation, Patricia Igwebuike, to comment on the matter failed as she did not answer calls made to her phone number nor reply to a text message sent to her.

Meanwhile, the aggrieved protesters have vowed to sustain the protest until the government attended to their demand.

Patricia Igwebuike is turning out to be the worst Commissioner that cannot control simple transport sector.

https://www.lawrevision2019.an.gov.ng/patricia-ifeoma-igwebuike-esq.html

They are talking tax when what you see on ground are thousands of lawless young men driving like mad people in the name of keke and shuttle, obstructing roads, congesting junctions. Very disorganized set of people. Mrs Igwebuike doesnt know what she is doing and it shows.

You will not see this madness in Abakaliki or Enugu or many cities across Nigeria. But Anambra is now chaos defined and like rats in a sewer, touts, thieves are flooding into Anambra.

Bullshit

Josef Bassey prolly ran from Crossriver,a state known for its high taxation to Anambra (a home for all..including miscreants and armrobbers,a home where anybody can come and do anyhow,a home where they tell govt how to run the state).
The commissioner is too docile. Soludo should relieve her of that duty if she’s clueless.
Everyday we read on the news riders on rampage protesting. Sxx he had better handle the situation before some miscreants turn the protest to something else (exactly what they’ve been hoping for).

If Soludo has given an order for the disappearance of agberos on the streets of Anambra,I still wonder why those urchins are still on the road. Is Soludo lacking balls to finish what he’s started? Why give an executive order and have it disobeyed by miscreants?
Why give an exec order and still have those thieves boldly on the roads than ever before?

Who are those still engineering these touts to keep standing on the road?
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by Landmack: 8:38am On Sep 25, 2022
Soludo’s mode of taxation must be implemented to rid the state of lousy and unscrupulous elements in the name of transporters. The tax system will at least bring sanity to the state. We won’t be having miscreants as drivers and riders especially in the capital,we all know the capital needs serious cleansing. A visitor shouldn’t come into the capital and starts asking if it’s really a capital?

Nice. I noticed the armed security in front of one of the work trucks. This is what IPOB terrorists have caused. Road contractors now have to hire and pay for heavy security which in turn increases the cost of road construction. Building roads in the Nnewi and Ihiala areas will be particularly problematic as IPOB terrorists still cause anarchy in those areas.

Nnewi as of now is and have been calm except northern part of it like ukpor, amichi though soludo has also decimated them beyond repair. Any construction work there I learnt goes unhindered.

‘IPOB terrorists….IPOB terrorists’! ‘Terrorists’ as labelled by the bigoted, ineffective and terrorist-enabling Fulani gov’t of Nigeria abi? Or do you have first hand information as to the IPOB membership of all the murderous scoundrels involved in high-profile and false-flag operations in the south-east!?

You fools will always try, every now and again, to give traction to the false narrative that IPOB are ‘terrorists’! If we don’t see these type of posts on Igbo-themed threads at least once every two days, then it means either you’ve not been paid or you’ve met up with your just desserts in hell!

Do STFU! ‘IPOB remnants’ indeed!

Dude, do you actually think you’re convincing anyone on here that you’re anything other than a 5th-columnist, Igbo-hating northerner (less likely to be Yoruba)!?

I still wonder why you people persist in going down this route of subterfuge and lies just to try silence a legitimate agitation for justice, when you could have chosen the easier route of being at the forefront and championing a just and equitable Nigeria where every ethnicity/region is in control of their own resources and their own destiny! There is a reason groups like MASSOB, IPOB and freedom fighters like Mazi Kanu arose! Eliminate that reason and see the wind taken out of the sails of all the aforementioned groups and individual!

Today, i may not agree with the notion of ‘one Nigeria’, but i would admit Ndigbo were once one of the biggest believers in Nigeria…both in words and in deeds, and this is notwithstanding any past unpleasant experiences we may have had in the north!

Did YOU create this thread, to begin with…..and where was it stated by the OP that’s it’s a thread for cretins like you to spread anti-IPOB propaganda and decide who can or can’t comment on it?

Articulated like the unthinking Black African you are! There is a reason why American cops will go down into hell and pluck every law breaker(especially violent criminals) because they know that the day people resort to "self help" measures it will be difficult to force the genie back into the bottle!

If people like you and our docile Igbo governors had taken the bull by the horn and gone after the Menace of the fulani herdsmen in time, the vacuum of security will not have been filled by IPOB and ESN............you leave the roots of the matter and continue to waste energy on plucking leaves and shaking branches.

The best way of neutralising ESN both genuine and fake one is too go after all fulani herdsmen infractions "small and big offences", once the state has shown itself to be impartial in the conduct of security matters.......then the hold of ESN on the masses will loosen, IPOB agitation is a completely different matter...I hold that they have the inalienable rights to converge and express their democratic opinion within the boundaries of the law.

Soludo should purge himself of the politically incorrect "Abuja politics" eastern governors are known for and side with the masses that voted him to power! He claims "nobody is invading the southeast" yet in 2 brazen attacks on 2 police patrol teams last week, ISWAP announced its arrival in the southern region of the country! Though intelligence reports have it that these sahelian savages arrived and settled into cells in key towns of the south as far back as the pandemic lock down period!

Yorubas in Lagos, ever wise and tactful ! have displaced thousands upon thousands of these foreign sahelian fulas by banning okada business, in the coming months they will go after kekes as well. Ndigbo! wake up!

Look at Keke/Shuttle operators giving condition to government. How weak can you be as a governor when they are giving you condition? But they see that all his pronouncements have no backbone. He told touts to get off the street, they stayed away for 2 weeks went back and nothing happened. He told street traders to stop trading on the street, they stopped for a few days, went back and nothing happened.

This is what is known as a lame duck. A dog with a broken leg. All bark. No bite.

Soludo should man up. The solution is very simple. Send vigilante people around and pick up those touts. Take them straight to the nearest police station. Jail them for three days. Every day take them out of cell, chain their legs, put uniform that says "no more touting", take them to the dirtiest gutter and let them clear out the dirt from the gutter. After the three days, get their identification and take video of them promising not to engage in touting again otherwise they will be jailed for a longer period.

For the Street traders who see the frontage of markets as shopping space. The solution is simple. Do what Obi did to them. Send Vigilantes with a truck to seize their goods. Identify who they are. After one week release their goods after they pay 5,000 naira fine with a warning. Second time offenders, seize their goods and share it to government workers. When you are done you will not see one barrow in front of Eke Awka or Ochanja.

For the Keke/Shuttle boys have a traffic management team. Keke/Shuttle's driving badly fine N1,000. Keke/Shuttle parking illegally fine N3,000. The traffic management authority should share the fines 50:50 with the state government. Every Keke/Shuttle should be registered within a local government, drivers must have a driver's license, undergo Anambra road traffic test and have their vehicles certified every year. Those driving keke/shuttle illegally without license should have their vehicles impounded and be heavily fined.

Abakeleke boys telling Anambra govt what to do.

The write up says some who have paid up where being blocked by their colleagues in carrying out their day’s job. Imagine the effrontery? grin

Touts are clearly bigger than the ANSG...disgraceful
