metronaija3:
Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Wednesday disputed claims that former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar was one of the major funders of President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2015 campaign.

El-Rufai who spoke on a Voice of America (VOA) Hausa Service Programme, “Democracy Today”, challenged the former Vice President to come up with evidence to prove that he donated to Buhari’s 2015 campaign, according to TheNation.

He also said Atiku left All Progressives Congress (APC) because he has seen that with Governors’ endorsement of Buhari for second term, there was no room for him to run for president.

El-Rufai said: “We in the APC were aware from the outset that Atiku was going to leave the APC back to the PDP in December and we thank God that he left in November.

“Atiku had seen that we in the APC, especially the APC governors, had resolved to support President Muhammadu Buhari to run again in 2019. That is why he left APC since he was only looking for where to contest for president.

“Even in the 2015 APC primary election, Atiku didn’t come second; he was floored by Kwankwaso. So, even if President Buhari decides not to contest, Atiku knows that the APC ticket is not sure for him. Majority of the APC governors have endorsed President Buhari as our candidate for 2019.

“And God has continued to improve the health condition of the President. Each time I see him, I thank God and I still pray that God continues to give him sound health.

“So, by 2019, we are waiting to see Atiku contest; we are waiting to contest against him and see what happens. I cannot lose sleep because Atiku wants to contest because, by God’s grace, this is the reign of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“Agreed, in politics if you lose even only one person, it should worry you, but the utterances of the former Vice President that APC used his money who did he give the money to? For me, I know those that supported us with their money and property that we used during election, and I never heard the name of Atiku that he brought a dime. If Atiku said he brought money, who did he give it to? Let him come and say it and how much did he give and what was it used for?

“And, in fact, if Atiku brought money, I ought to know, because I was part of the leadership of the party and during campaign, along with former Governor Rotimi Amaechi. We were at the centre of the presidential campaign. Therefore, we are supposed to know. So, let him mention who he gave the money and how much?

He also said only APC members who are greedy would follow Atiku to PDP.

this El-rufai is a very useless politician. The man has totally lost control of himself. No wonder he was tagged liar.

When I said in the other thread that Buhari by claiming he is not a good money maker, was actually subtly campaigning for Atiku, some people failed to see the sense in my post.

Now it is getting clearer that the Buhari team has targeted Atiku as their lesser evil. They want to promote him as the best possible alternative for reasons best known to them.
You maybe right

They are scared of of a tambual or kwokosor

2015 was not so far away..we know how it transpired ; buhari's party suggested the coalition, tinubu bought into it..and promoted it with his media might, atiku, saraki, kwankwaso, shekarau, amechi, okorocha. nd others were canvassed and won over..they took away pdp strong national party structure..what they gave to APC can't me monetised..all this while,no one heard of the diminitive rat.elrufai..he was busy orchestrating his haws to kaunas govt house..now that the big boiz are talking,he is also out and talking..but I blame atiku still for technically Killin pdp..a party dt gave him.no.2 position. if he had supported jonathan.it wld hv remained two years b4 he earns it as a right in pdp to be president ( bring the last national bigwigs) but instead, he chose to thread with tinubu..now his ambition is in limbo..cuz since his exit..pdp has got new national tigers like wike, fayose etc..that mk things happen

Evidence..... Or are you reading back of your phone?

Mogidi:
He delivered good governance hence his protégé was unsuccessful in his bid to become governor.
Amaechi is high on grade 1 Buhari urine.

ijekul:

As the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by the Rivers State Government to probe the sale of valued assets of the state and other matters continued its sitting on Friday, the technical consultant to the state on the monorail project, Arcus Gibbs revealed that  he advised former Governor Chibuike Amaechi against continuing with the project.

Managing Director of Arcus Gibbs Nig Ltd, Wiero Viguezang, however said his company gave the advice only after collecting N22.9bn from the Rivers State Government since its services were enlisted in March 1, 2010.

Viguezang spoke when he appeared before the commission to explain the role played by his company in the monorail project being probed by the commission.

While being cross-examined by counsel to the commission, Dr. Zaccheus Adangor, Viguezang, stated that the monorail project was no longer tenable considering the shortfall in the state’s revenue and the inability of its original technical and equity partners, TSI Nig Ltd, headed by the former military administrator of Rivers State, Brig-Gen Anthony Ukpo (Rtd.), to fulfil its obligations to contribute 80 per cent of its equity holdings.

He disclosed that the state owes his company N1.1bn for its services.
He also said the company had in a letter to the Rivers State through the ministry of transport, in April, made a six-point recommendation to the Rivers State on how to unbundle the monorail project in such a way that the state government can salvage some financial benefits out of the N33.9bn so far invested in the project. The monorail project was originally estimated to cost about Euros2250m.

The technical partner had in its sixth point of recommendation suggested to the Rivers State Government to unbundle the monorail project and approach the manufacturers of the mechanical components and rail tracks in Germany and exploit the possibility of reselling components at a lower price to the manufacturers.

He said the company also advised the state government to consider the option of using the monorail facilities for other commercially viable purposes, mentioning the spaces between pillars and surrounding areas of the monorail project, stressing that the area between Azikiwe Road and the UTC axis could be put into very fruitful commercial purpose.
Viguezang also told the commission that his company and the state government had planned to unveil the monorail project last April specifically to mislead the people of Rivers State into thinking that the project, which has gulped N33.9bn, was still on course.

He admitted that his company wrote a memo to the commissioner for transport to arrange the unveiling of the project essentially for media coverage since the project was “technically uncompleted”.

According to Viguezang, “We actually wrote to the ministry of transport in January, to arrange for the governor to unveil the monorail project in April for the attention and coverage of the media based on the expectation of the people of the state.”

When asked to clarify if the unveiling was to deceive the people of Rivers State into believing that the controversial monorail project was ready, Viguezang admitted; “It was to deceive the people into believing that the monorail project was at last ready”.

The managing director, however, stressed that “apart from the media coverage and public attention that it is expected to generate, the monorail was not technically and commercially ready. Only phase 1a within phase 1 of the project was ready. So, there was no way the public would have been able to use the monorail as at April when we asked the ministry of transport to unveil the project to the media”.

Viguezang admitted that the Rivers State government enlisted services of Arcus Gibbs at the cost of N600 million from March 1, 2010 to December 1, 2010, after the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with TSI collapsed because TSI could not raise revenue to fulfil the payment of its 80 per cent equity share capital.

He stated that part of its role as the technical service provider to the Rivers State government concerning the monorail project was to evaluate and assess the activities of TSI and give an independent opinion to the Rivers State government.

And so what, What is special about the Buhari now?
After duping Nigerians by selling his recharge cards in support of his campaigns?
After dribbling Nigerians that he will bring down the prices of petroleum products?
After all the failed campaign promises?
Promising Nigerians that the economy will be good to the commoner.
But at last, what are we experiencing now?
Hardship!!
May God save Nigerians from the claws of Buhari and his cabals.
