The Light Within is the Christ worthy of celebration. The birth of this Christ is the awareness by a person that there is no person but Christ- The Light and The Love eternal. When u transcend the senses into the nonsense and u see the light in places of appearance and you see God instead of the world-Christ is born and Love pervades and then Christmas happens.
The Self realised identified not with names and forms that this may take but with the awakening itself and the spontaneous transformation it brings to people, nations and the world at large. To sacrifice the personal self in service for others (husband, wife, children, brothers, sisters, neighbours and fellow citizens) learning to give and give without waiting for rewards are the practical demonstrations of Christ realised.
Sermon, preaching and talk cannot bring out all these traits that are badly needed for better living and national development, no not at all. The Spirit must be born in you. Your rebirth must take place. U must be saved because when u are the whole country and the world is immediately saved, rescued and redeemed.
Then how can this happen? Awake ! Awake !! Awake !!! Awakening to the reality of your being is the way to go. When u do awake Christ is born in u and the light that u are is what u see in all people and things. It is in this new you that all things become new eternally and forever.
Through you Christ or Light or,Love is surely bound to reach mass of people and then Christmas, Lightmas or Lovemas begin to happen in all hearts, families and nations of the world. This is the way it happened that through the person of Jesus the Spirit Called Christ came into the lives of many. What do u have to do.
All u need do is come home to your true self within. Give a minute or more in Quiet moment right now. Be at Peace now this present moment and receive a present in form of Light or Christ from within right now this moment.Good. Thank u for doing it.

I totally concur, the essence of Christmas is the discovery of the light (Christ) within. It's a pity how 2.5 billion people celebrate the awakening of Jesus every year but fail to look for a way to awake the Christ within them.
Just imagine if these 2.5 billion people could discover discover the reality of their being.....imagine how the world would be.

Contemptuous? How? I guess you have not heard of the spiritual aspect of Islam.

1, Worship-Spirit of Love.
2, God-The Supreme Spirit.
