Yeah I am.
Hahahaha hahahaha @ prayed. I'm not a Catholic but I'm quite familiar with Catholicism. I loved reading Jose Maria Escriva the founder of opus dei and Bishop Fulton Sheen. Do you know these two incredible catholics?

You sabi.

To be honest, I was a Catholic, but didn't really dig it.

I was more a fan of pentecostalism.

I've heard of Opus Dei, Jose Maria Escriva, but not the Bishop you speak of.

Fulton Sheen is one of the most sweetly expressive spiritual teachers of the Catholic Church. He's late now though.
I would have become a Catholic ooo but I can't stand rituals and the adoration they give to Mary.

So what would you teach your child or children now that you've gone your own way as far as spiritual matters are concerned.

I try not to worry my head over those details.
I hope that my actions teach them more than my words.

I hope to inculcate values that border on respect, kindness, forgiveness, Love, discipline etc.

The question of what God to believe in, especially after they are taught CRK will arise, well, till we get to that bridge. I have always trusted the divine for wisdom for the moment. I would try to point them to God within.

If it is possible to raise them in a school without any religious teaching, I would.

You have helped me. I have a four months old daughter. I'm always thinking how to teach her. My desire is to teach her to deeply love and value herself in a way that opens her up to value and love others. I desire to teach her to believe in herself. Once again I say you have helped me.

I actually felt like I was on the stand.

Nonetheless, it is good to know you are helped.

When I gave to birth to ours.
I remember looking at her, I think I cried that day.
I was at a loss for how to be a mom.
It was a responsibility I totally welcomed, yes.
But I was not sure how to go about it.

After a bit, I felt comforted, then strengthened.

It's over a year now.
Well, it's just GOD.

Hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha.
You recall how the anal lady (pun intended) analysed me using my moniker accusing me of attacking Christians just after I quoted you
Visitors see NL IDs or handles, take them on face value and run forming preconceived ideas about them
The problem of having such opinion formed beforehand without adequate evidence,
is that, it can lead to the guilty, having very negative and supposition imagery about the NL ID or handle owners conjuring up,
this consequently then affect the behaviors of the guilty toward the particular NL ID or handle owners.

Mujtahida:
Well the name was given to me during my university days at the faculty of law in A. B. U Zaria.
We had to take elective courses in Islamic law and I was quite good then in Islamic law.
So my colleagues both Muslims and Christians began calling me mujtahida which means someone who is an authority in Islamic law.
Some call me mujta, some tahida even till date.
Thing though was that in the University I was a fervent Christian.
I only left Christianity two years ago. So coming to nairaland it was only natural that I use that name.

So I laugh when Christians read my moniker and dismiss me.
On the strength of his handle name choice, Sarassin, on a few number of ocassions , in the past has had to put up with the worst of scathing attacks too.

I earlier called you Mujta, without even knowing others too endearingly call you so

Mujtahida:
I wasn't just a church goer. I read about the Faith.
But ultimately what made me leave Christianity is the that I realised I was worshiping a fiction, a god who doesn't talk.
I discovered that the god who presides over Christianity is a Non - communicative God as in a wordless God different from the one who is highly expressive in the bible, talking to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Zerubabel etc (even the one in the bible is a fiction)

Christianity is a scourge of the earth
a cause of wide and/or great affliction

So you craved for the God talking to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Zerubabel etc experience

Mujtahida:
I said to myself 'I cannot go on worshipping a God who is mute - thats an idol'.
3But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases.
4Their idols are silver and gold, The work of man’s hands.
5They have mouths, but they cannot speak; They have eyes, but they cannot see;
6They have ears, but they cannot hear; They have noses, but they cannot smell;
7They have hands, but they cannot feel; They have feet, but they cannot walk; They cannot make a sound with their throat

- Psalm 115:3-7

Psalm 115:3-7 is having heathen idols contrasted with God

Mujtahida:
What made it pressing was that I really needed help, spiritual help on an issue in my life.
I prayed and prayed and prayed for up to six years. No answer. Just silence.
Silence is a good answer

Mujtahida:
The silence confused and broke me
He who does not understand silence, will probably not understand words
Silence speaks when words can't
A meaningful silence is always better than meaningless words
At times, nothing strengthens a relationship so much as silence does
Sometimes I just sit in company of others, and if with God, shut my eyes, say absolutely nothing and just enjoy the silence
I've come to learn to take advantage of silence, because sometimes its better than talking
as the quieter you become the more you can hear.

Mujtahida:
One day as I knelt down to pray I just said heck not again.
SILENT & LISTEN are spelled with the same letters
Can you hear your thoughts inside your head or are they silent?
The soul listens out to hear from your spirit
If the spirit is not tuned into a right wavelength though, then we'll have a signal problem and ultimately become despondent

Mujtahida:
But truth is even in my days of fervency Christianity never tuned into my soul
Why do think Christianity should tune into your soul?

Mujtahida:
(and yes I was born again, baptised with water and the holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues).
It always felt unnatural to me.
And I still think Christianity is the most unnatural of all the religions.
What made you say, you were "born again"?
What really is "born again"?
How did the "born again" originally come about?
Was the "born again" discourse accidental or something already on Jesus' "to do list" to preach about?
Its not surprising your "speaking in tongues" felt unnatural to you, as can bet my bottom dollar, it was nothing less than age-long babble anyway
Speaking in tongues, is not the only evidence of having the Holy Spirit.
Besides speaking in tongues, has its time and place since after the three original and/or primary reasons

Wow, so you know Bishop Fulton Sheen too
Small world indeed it is
Bishop Fulton J Sheen is a GOAT.
Him usually donned in his black & purple cassock and white dog collar has got swagger and great panache
Fortunately God is denomination-agnostic, but yeah you cant watch Bishop Fulton Sheen and not be enthralled
When I used to watch TV, whenever he shows up, it was always a pleasure to listen to him

For me, the Bishop shares the GOAT podium with other giants like Myles Munroe
(i.e. a SME on anything that has to do with the Kingdom & Kingdom things)

A very good Bishop Fulton Sheen book, I can recommend, is: Three To Get Married
I picked up the books years ago from a second hand bookshop

It is from some of the insight I got from reading Bishop Fulton Sheen's "Three To Get Married" book
that made me on another Sarassin thread make the below remark and question to MizMyColi:

I am baffled as well that anyone would be averse to something so pleasurable
and that's why I asked:
"Do you know why, the originator of climax, invented it
or why the mastermind behind orgasm, created it
?"

It really would be lovely, you attempt answering that question

but MizMyColi, suspicious of motives, as ever, ducked and dived the question

I do that a lot.

I smile and laugh without bothering whether I do it right or even overdo it.

There are actually people who strive to be politically correct with the way they express emotion.

I trawled the internet before asking you
because the one I found by Robert Greene and Joost Elffers which happened to have 48 laws had nothing in it about smiling,
so I thought I better ask you for the name behind the laws

but the rest I majorly agree with and without being aware of the laws have already been doing them

Mujtahida:

Don't you think that egregores could be the reason for the miracles that characterised early Christianity as in the group mind was so charged with energy that miracles easily happened. Aren't egregores the reason for the revivals that broke out time after time from the 17th century to the early part of the 20th century? Isn't this group mind responsible for that sense of presence (it's even lacking in the churches today where the sense of fellowship is very weak) people feel in church and ascribe to the Holy Spirit?

The Christ Egregore (or thought-form, to keep it simple) is very strong, although I do not accept that it was responsible for the miracles that supposedly characterised early Christianity. I do not doubt that Jesus was a miracle worker, we have historical context for that, but I consider the rest of the so-called Apostolic miracles as little more than pious self-aggrandising accounts.

But there is a case to be made that the charismatic revivalist movement you allude to tapped directly into the Christ egregore. For me, what Christians refer to as the Holy Spirit resides in each and every one of us as the Divine spark, in Christianity it is ill-defined as a nebulous God-entity that sometimes descends as a “tongues of fire” but is in fact the seedlings of our higher consciousness as distinct from the presence of the egregore, in my view.
