All You Need To Know About Prophetic Church Of Nigeria by Bendgreat: 4:26pm On Dec 26, 2017
First thing first the prophetic church of Nigeria is a church established to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. It is a spiritual church blessed with powerful men of God.

It is imperative to put the history of PCN in its true perspective so as to avoid the distortions, of facts, inaccuracies and controversies that have trailed the founding of the Prophetic Church of Nigeria for some decades. Who actually founded PCN? When was it founded?

lt is equally important that through this brief history, readers especially PCN members through out the World would appreciate the place of history in our lives. The facts and information contained in this piece, are those collected from present and past leaders and during any interactions with them in their life times. These facts are no frictions or make-believe story. Therefore, the history of PCN. is based on two historical background and theories. First is formal equivalence that is, the story or information as told by the leaders who were stateholders at the inception of the church, the second Is ”dynamic or functional equivalence”, that Is, the critical analysis of the story or facts from the point of view of other people so as to enable readers have thorough knowledge of how the church began.
Prior to the origin of the church Simeon Olaseinde Aiyenero came with Zachariah Enigbokan and their families to meet Pa Obadiah Owoseni and Albert lkuesan and their families in the then badia village (Oto brick EbuteMetta).

In 1947, Pa Simeon Aiyenero being a member of the UNA Church Oyingbo Started a prayer meeting in his parlor or sitting room in a UNA doctrine together with his wives Adetoun and Abigail, Pa zachariah lfeloju Enigbokan and wife Maltida, Pa Albert lkuesan and his wives Rispa and Olufunke lkuesan, Pa Obadiah Adedeji Fadani, a cousin of Zachariah Enigbokan who by then was visiting him (Enigbokan) during weekends from Ojo to attend services until he finally relocated to Ijora Ilaje permanently where he took up appointment as a teacher at Marine Beach Anglican School. This is how
they started and worship their God morning & evening.

0n the lst January, 1948 the prayer meeting was moved to the residence of Pa Obadiah Muse Owoseni who was the leader of the community as a mark of respect.

However, in one at the revival services in Owosen residence, Obadiah Fadaini, a prophet was said to have a divine revelation that the prayer meeting be moved out of the house consequent upon this revelation, a still structure was erected on an apen land in the area where services and other religious activities were being held. This later grew into a premative Church.

After the church has been converted to Cherubim & Seraphim (C&S) CHURCH, THE Elder appointed themselves officers where they went to mount Zion lbadan Street, Ebute-Metta for ordination. Albert lkuesan was ordained as Prophet, Simeon Aiyenuro was ordained as Evangelist, Adedeii Fadaini was ordained Pastor, Zachariah Enigbokan was ordained as Rabbi and Pa Obadia Owoseni was ordained Baba Ijo. While Adetoun Aiyenero, Rispa lkuesan, Julianah Owoseni among others were ordained as Aladura.

The prayer meeting had begun and was progressing under the leadership of Simeon Aiyenero.

When they come back from ordination and with the wisdom of the few Elders of the community, Albert Ikuesan was unanimounsly adopted to lead the congregation and not as a founder as uniformed members were insinuating.

There was a turning point in the history of the Church when in 1959, the Federal Government of Nigeria acquired the whole land area encompassing the Ilaje settlement of Ijora to lganmu area for the construction of road network, the National Theatre and Art galleries. The Ilaje settlement under the leadership of Obadiah Muse a Owoseni was relocated to a small Island now referred to as Ijiora Badia. On getting there, the seven elders came together to continue to worship their God and this gave birth to the present PCN. The seven Elders were

(i) Obadiah Muse Owoseni.

(2) Albert Ugbosanmi lkuesan.

(3) Simeon Oladehinde Aiyenero,

(4) Zachariah lfeloju Enigbokan

(5) Obadiah Adedeji Fadaini

(6) Doherty Ogede and one Akingboye and their families

Others that followed them to the Island were Kolawole Ojomo, who came through Fadaini, Johnson Adeniyi, came through lkuesan, Jose Ogunfuyi and few civil servants and students of Ilaje extraction. However, the idea of formal registration of the Church as a corporate Body with the Federal Government was muted by Obadiah Adedeji Fadaini, who by his level of education was the secretary, this suggestion received over whelming support from other elders who gave him the go-ahead to start the process of registration. He collected necessary form, prepared the Rules and Regulations and other documents for that purpose.

During this time the Most Rev. Ap. (Dr) O.A. Fadaini JP, he had another divine revelation that the name of the new church be called ”Prophetic Church Of Nigeria that is, ”ldapo Ijo Woli” As it were, the seven elders still adopted and recognized Albert lkuesan as their leader. The registered members of the board of trustee were: Albert lkuesan, Simeon Aiyenero, Obadia Fadaini, Doherty Ogede

In the wisdom of albert lkuesan and after consultation with the others Michael Dudu who by them was very close to lkuesan was named the fifth member of the board of Trusteees. The certificate of lncorporation number 649 was issued on the 9th August, 1963 under the land (Perpetual Succession) Act Cap. 007.
It Is important to note that due to some Circumstances the name of Zacharia Enigbokan was not included as a member of the Board of Trustee but was unanimous adopted as the Pioneer Principal School of Theology and Morals. However, after the death of four of the members of the board of Trustees. The General Conference through its executive committee replaced the dead members with the following people: the Most Rev. Ap. Segun lyaomolere, Most Rev. Ap. Johnson lsiaiah Utieyin, Most Senior Ap. Bayo Enigbokan, Most Supm. Gen. Ap Sam Jonathan, In August 2016, the number of trustees was increased from 5 to 7 in the General Conference through its executive committee meeting. This brings in Most Supm. Ap. Nelson Ogede & Special Ap. Julius B. Owotuga as additional members of the board of Trustees.

After the call to glory of saint Albert Ugbosanmi Ikuesan the Church founder and first leader in year 1979, S.O Aiyenero became the next head of the Church. Later A. O Fadaini, also after his death. Most Rev Apostle Omomowo became the head. After his call to God .

Now The most Rev Apostle Japhet. I Ikudehinbu is ordained as the current spiritual leader oDuring this time the Most Rev. Ap. (Dr) O.A.
