Durability is number 1. Being easy to maintain is another key factor. Thirdly, it's fuel consumption rate is just very economical.

For example Toyota generally is more durable and has better second hand value. Hondas on the other hand are cheaper to acquire and maintain. They are more comfortable and fun to drive, as well as more flashy and . So I guess it depends on what your priorities are.

I advise you go for Toyota. For durability and good sales value after use, go for Toyota.

Yes, I think Sienna models are good space bus/vans to buy. Very durable

If you intend to use it for a short period of time, Toyota is your choice as stated due to its high second hand value and durability for rigorous use and bad terrain.
However if you are looking for a cheap beautiful reliable car with pleasant ride experience and very cheap and available parts, Honda is your choice.
I personally prefer Honda for its beauty and driving experience. And since I don't intend selling my stuff at any short time after buying it, I care less about the second value. Also almost every part/repair of a Toyota costs more than same on a Honda.
I'd definitely choose a Toyota if we're to start a transport biz or buy a car for someone else, because won't trust them to take care of the Honda the way I should.

However,with the transmission issue?I am a bit scared to get it.
My question is does that mean the odyssey transmission issue can not be rectified and does not give notice before the problem?
