Don’t beat yourself up. Some took a loss on that trade. Take what is given. There’s another opportunity waiting.

Pipnator you have improved a lot in this short period, or is it just me?

I think it’s great you’ve been putting in a lot of chart/screen time.

You should educate us about what you’re doing differently now compare to before.

Thanks for the words.

What I do differently..
I slept thinking about these words..still cant figure out what I do differently because I have been consistently doing the same things.
If you are wondering the things I do, here are some.. I hope they make some sense.

1. i stay prepared/ready. I go through all the most traded pairs over the weekend. Select and analyse the ones with the most/best opportunity for the new week. And then have a mind of what I think the pair will do but if it eventually doesnt do what I feel, I adjust immediately.
Previous weekend, I posted USDCAD chart and my bias/analysis supports buying that pair but when market opened for the new week, I noticed the pair was leaning towards a sell. Though I didnt take the sell because I was already on GBPCAD sell but I adjusted my mindset for a sell. Im still watching that pair, I believe theres gonna be a big sell after the retracement.

2. Keep a journal/record of your trading activities. I dont actually have a place i put pen to paper regarding my trades. I use Nairaland for that. Often times we analyse charts on our computer and we either buy or sell. By the time the week is over, we discard the charts for a new analysis. No records kept, and we fail to find out why did price go this way when my analysis says that other way.
At my free times, I always come back to see/read whatever I post here, check the outcome and find our the whys, reflect of them, take corrections where there is need for it.

3. Accepting the outcome. Whether profit or loss, especially loss..accept and own it and then move ow from it. As you once wrote, the market will still open tomorrow and there are still many opportunities. Remember I do come here to announce when I take a loss. Thats me accepting, owning my loss and then moving on from it.

4. Maybe this one too. In the past when I open a position and see the loss because of spreads, the nerve (missed some biology class, dont know the name of the nerve anymore) around my ears will start vibrating and my hearts starts beating faster. (True story) and if it enters a bigger loss, I will start having headache but all of that have stopped. Maybe because I have learnt to accept and own my loss or because I do yoga/meditation.

Will add more when I remember but I think #1 is the most important. "Staying prepared/ready".

Dont take my word for it, price will do what it does best..

bro I feel you should take his words as advice. am pretty sure your new strategy is awesome but you should first open a demo account with the exact same amount you intend to use for your live account so that you know what leverage is best and what account type is preferable and lastly the mental state of a live trader is different from demo trading. am talking from experience, forex is a very very risky biz ment for the strong both mentally and emotionally.

I was, got hooked on the audchf long trade throughout the second week and got around 340,000 at the end.

I was on 300k+ by first week's. Sometimes, it is a matter of being on the best trade per time. There really is nothing to it after all it is demo faa.

'Under the same conditions and facilities', I believe Nigerian traders would dust most of these guys.

Possible buy on USDJPY if the trendline doesnt break.
For me, I will only buy if price breaks the yellow resistance and stay above it.
EURJPY and the brother (GBPJPY) do me things last week, so im being caredul with JPY pairs. grin

pardon my poor picture,...i dont have any fancy app for photo editing or screen shots on my system.

Goodluck.

Im a learner myself too.
My expertise in trading hasnt reached the level of being a mentor to anyone.
I think there are some people here who would be willing to mentor but it might not be free.
But If you are not willing to pay anyone, then you can open a demo account and start from there.
Visit babypips dot com, watch youtube videos. Read/Learn/know the terminologies so you know what is what when you spot them.

And you can always post your concerns here on NL.
You will always get response from us.
OK THANKS ALOT

is the strategy at babypips reliable? the one with ema , stochatic and rsi

I dont specifically know how those stratgies are placed on babypips to comment on them but if its the normal EMAs, Stochastic and RSI that everyone knows, then its very reliable (to the extent you know how to use them).
I like EMAs. In the past, I had one custom EMA indicator that is always on my 5 minutes timeframe (big moves always start from smaller timeframes). Its gives me alert whenever price touches on the EMA or whenever there is EMA cross over.
However it has its downside. You have to wait until you get alert before you take a position and most times, you are entering at a cost, which means bigger stop loss.
They are good for learning purpose and also, to confirm your trades. Yes go ahead and use them but dont rely 100% on them. Learn and try as much indicators as you can, with time you will know to discard them and trust your eyes more than any indicator.

Yes bro', price action. (In this market, price is King)
Im still a student of it and Im learning vigorously.
I watch my chart from weekly down to 1 hour.
I identify major trends right from the weekly to the lower time frames.
From there, i start placing my trendlines, identifying the support/resistance ,
(In fact anything I think that will affect/effect price movement including news).
When all is identified and taken note of, they'll start to shape your mind, towards what you think price will do.
Whether it will go up or down, where will the upward or downward movement start or stop.
Where will I enter, what should my stops, take profit be.
What confirmations do I have to show that yes, price is either going up or down.
Even with all these, you can still be flat out wrong. Yes.
Hence the reason you must consider the IFs always.
Whenever you plan on buying, always have it at the back of your mind that,
IF the buy didnt go well, maybe its a sell.

**No one is ever sure of what price will do. We are always buying or selling on 'IFs'.
