A YBL reader has shared with them how he just discovered that his son of three years is not actually his own – according to him, he traveled out of the country a month after his girlfriend gave birth to a child only for him to come back and meet the shocking news.

Our reader revealed that after going through a series of tests, he discovered that the child is not actually his – this followed by testimonies of people around his wife who testified of her promiscuous ways in his absence.

How would making the situation viral change anything?

I think guys should just do DNA test immediately after birth... Let's put a stop to all these drama after years of taking care of another man's child..

Sometimes, these ladies don't do it intentionally, might just be change of partner without giving some space before kicking of sexual paroles with the new one...

Sometimes pple dont even care to to do ordinary genotype or blood group test for their child...
And sometimes ordinary 1000 naira genotype or blood group could possibly tell if the child is urs or not, it's when similar blood group and genotype shows up that comprehensive test like DNA is required.

The child no even resemble you. Its so obvious he is not yours.

DNA test is quite expensive.....u are gonna have to do it just to be on the safe side....however there are some very straight forward cases that requires just ordinary genotype...if a woman and a man are both AA they can never have an SS or AS... Also blood group test can also help...there have been cases the generator has revealed paternity
Children either take the blood group of the father or the mother....once the child has a blood group different from both of you...that's another possible pointer the baby isn't yours...but the DNA test is more comprehensive shaa

now i get it, so basically this genotype thing is a cheaper alternative, but technically it's not that comprehensive in the sense that maybe the lover of the AA Lady (her secret lover) could be AA too Right?

i learnt something though.

that DNA Test if affordable, would save alot of young men from heart attack and bp.
