The much dreaded militant and kidnapper, Don Waney, has finally met his end after security agents gunned him and his team down.

Don Waney, who was notorious for terrorising Rivers state, was shot dead by men of the Nigerian Army and DSS while trying to escape.

However, only few know that Waney was one of the militant leaders who embraced the government amnesty programme.

Waney, alongside his men, embraced the amnesty programme of the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike.

In an event of sorts that attracted Chiefs, politicians and political leaders, Waney declared an end to his involvement in militancy and submitted all arms and ammunition in his possession.

The Federal Government made a big mistake with this Don Wani, they should not have killed him. They should have brought him in alive and tried him for whatever he is alleged to have done.

But now, by sending the Army to go and kill him, the government has sent a message to all future armed groups who may wish yo embrace amnesty not to give up their arms and render themselves defenceless. Another bad thing is that the Governmrnt now diesnt know what the rest of his gang are doing.

Killing the leader of an organisation has the tendency of making the organisation turn to violence.

This is what caused Boko Haram, when the Goverment thought that killing Dikko Yusuf would be the end. Shekau took over snd Nigeria has been fighting for the last 6 years.

Kanu and IPOB were non violent, unarmed and very visible. They Army came after Kanu now no one knows what IPOB is up to as they have gone underground. If they emerge tomorow with arms, Nigeria will start another round of fighting. Infact, it maybe that it is because no one is yet sure of Kanu's fate is the only reason some of his die hsrd supporters have not yet taken up arms to die for him.

Now they have killed this guy instead of arresting and trying him. God knows how his group will choose to avenge his death.

That means he never genuinely embraced amnesty but a show of hypocrisy. For those blaming fg and security agencies for gunning down this demon, did you not read that he was trying to escape, and would have equally shot security operatives?

I have no pity whatsoever ever seeing the bloods of demons. I enjoy seeing the bloods of boko haran, kidnappers, arm robbers, cultists. This wanney has committed more evil than baddoo Evans. Each time I thought of the massacred chosen members for no known reason, I feel like searching for wanney's corpse and roast it for vultures to feed.
