tuniski: Buhari should be held responsible for the 2016 bombing, oh yea!! Lets work with your childish logic, we will hold Obasanjo responsible for 2006 bombing and Yaradua for 2008 bombing right? I wonder if Yaradua and Obj borrowed Buhari's body language and utterances as well. Use your fvcking head. If you think BH is winning the Nigerian government, why don't you join them then send us some video clips since the media is compromised by your standard. Only a child will ask why we need $1b to finance operation Lafiya dole, perhaps we need to ask you why the US is spending $15m daily to finance operation inherent reslove when the ISis leader was last seen in April 2017 and Isis completely routed out of Iraq and Syria? Please show us proof where the previous administration left your foreign reserve at $30b, dont think you are talking to your fellow fvcktards. 1 Like 1 Share |

For me, pmb has done relatively well. We need to support him. Yes some commodities like rice etc were cheaper during Gej period because they were imported. Imported commodities sometimes are cheaper because they have better technology and access to capital. But that is not the way to go as a country. We need to grow our own food and be productive to generate employment. We dont need to spend all our forex on importing everything without making savings for the future generation. |

toniok:The money buhari was spending when he came in including bailouts were they his personal money? Today, inflation is runaway and naira is seriously depreciated. Unemployment on the rise. Tell me what good has this govt done? |

tuniski: The revenue the country was getting during that period was small. He was able to manage it. No federal public servant was sacked, people were employed ( eg police,s firs, ) 200,000 people taken up in Npower and paid 30k stipend per month, federal civil servants were not owed. Yet he was able to make money available to bail out states. Inflation, exchange rate and unemployment are all consequences of over dependence on imports. What determines exchange rate amongst other factors is the demand and supply of a country's currency. Many nigerians are looking for dollar to import, school abroad, medical trip etc. The more we seek this dollar, the costlier it will always be. The most important thing is the stability of the exchange rate. If we had good schools, good hospitals, strong manufacturing base etc. we may not have need for dollar and we can decide to pay 100 for a dollar. Alternatively the Govt. can decide to give out the dollars we have in our reserve to all manner of importers to make everybody happy. But remember in the long run we will be creating employment for other nations, we will not have anything to keep for the future generation, etc. For me it is better we suffer temporarily now, make sacrifices for the future now that we have a Govt. that is not outstandingly corrupt like PDP. |

tuniski: Total external borrowings so far and to the extent nat.assembly has given approval may not be more than 5bn Usd. Remove it from the savings made in recent time about 16bn Usd (23 - 40), you will have a net of 11bn usd. Mind you this borrowings are not to settle recurrent expenses. They are for capital projects and some of them self liquidating. Mind you also that the savings will keep increasing while any capital project done now will not need to be done again . |

toniok:Mind you foreign reserve is not the same as sovereign wealth savings or Excess crude account. Please do understand what they all are /purpose. |
