They should have removed Buhari picture from that wall. It makes the surrounding ooze of incompetence.

Chukazu:

You forgot David Mark ,that guy has been silent probably because of a political ambition
Omeokachie:

You are probably correct.
When Agatu happened and David Mark visited the area, he was shot at by the terrorists occupying the area. He was lucky to have come out alive.

His silence this time is worrying. Only diffence though is that he did not join these guys in installing this government that have since abandoned the people while protecting the attackers.

Tell me why the miyetti leadership are still issuing threats of further attacks and government has not attested them!

At this point David Mark need not say anything because he has already done the needful by arming his people sufficiently to defend themselves.
When last did you hear of those marauding terrorists going anywhere near agatu or idoma areas?
Not to even talk of killing the people there..Senator Mark has armed his people for self defence and those demons know they can no longer try shit there.

Many will not know the importance of peace, until they experience big problem or crises. We need peace my people.

Ok good point.

So we can now hold the President responsible for the callous killing of Fulanis and farmers alike.

The truth is Buhari has not handled this bad situation any differently from the failure GEJ which he replaced.

They are both ducile and incompetent. Always allowing their political enemies score cheap points!

chilariye:
The fifty two Fulani women and children that were massacred in November last year in Numan were not properly aired and their burials was not announced, simply because they don't have a governor, and they are left to their faiths as they deserve to die as their life is valueless in the society no any agency condemn the genocide against them, no state burial.

The enemies of President Mohammadu Buhari and the Nigeria at large must value the life of all Nigerians equally for peace to reign.

Unfortunately, some people claimed to be socialists, social media activists, CSOs and all other bunch of idiots have kept quite simply because they want Baba Buhari to fail and get some one that will be giving them material benefits for criticising gov't .

The meat business is a very serious business.

I have been to abattoirs and the craze for meat is real...Also during this Christmas holiday, several people gifted there fans and followers with cows.

In some traditions a meal without meat is considered an insult and in fact as part of training most children are taught to finish their food before their meat.

The suya business is a multi-million Naira business, which now has dried variants in shops, sharwama also has a beef variant.

The truth is that most people cannot do without meat and it is a multi-billion Naira industry.

Curiously, the main source of meat in this nation are nomads. Unfortunately, this business and traditional model has caused a lot of problems and a lot of people have been killed in the process.

Ban them, stop them from coming to your state... Businessmen and women will go to states where they are allowed to roam.. Buy cows and sell it at exorbitant prices to butchers who will increase the price of meat...

Now to the meat of the matter...

I would expect State governments to cash into this business.

Imagine let's say the Delta State government acquires hectares of lands in rural areas, and they also acquire exotic grasses and breeds of cattle.

Imagine them having several ranches, and having milk producing breeds.

Imagine my state, supplying grasses to all parts of the country.

Imagine if my state government, decides to be greedy with the "Canda" and decides to open a leather factory and rather than sell the leather decide to go into shoe, sandals, belt, bag and even cloth production.

Imagine if we used the hooves and horns rich in keratin for developing our line of hair care products...

Imagine what their waste products would be used for, imagine us being ahead in the biogas industry.

Imagine my state running, other cattle rearers out of business and then putting laws to tax other rearers.

Imagine how many people will be employed and the revenue that will be accrued to the state.

Imagine the development that would come to those rural areas.

Just imagine people that would be gainfully employed, just imagine the cycle of wealth.

In another news,

One reason the fulani herdsmen have not evolved, is that is virtually no competition in this sector.

One reason perhaps, may be that a lot of Ogas on the top may actually be owners of this multi-billion Naira industry and will do everything to protect their business.

Beyond the politics, rhetoric and crocodile tears let one state or even wealthy individual pick up this challenge and build a model of prosperity for her people.

Again what do I know?

I am submerged in a miasma of melancholy at these incessant killings by herdsmen.
If sword is not turn into plowshares and spears beat into pruning hooks then a looming sword of Damocles might snowballed into a cataclysmic revolution in the Terra firma of the Nigeria Terrain. Our leaders must do something.

Both sides have refused to sheath their swords with the pastoralists flexing their federal-backed might on the poor, defenceless people of the "food basket".

The effrontery with which the pastoralists advance their gazetted grazing route in the 21st century Nigeria is perplexing to say the least.

A repeal of the anti-open grazing law will only lend credence to the bullying tactics of the herdsmen and further embolden them in their quest to have a domineering say in our affairs.

Dele Momudu succinctly expressed our frustration thus:

"A government that rode into power on the supersonic jet of goodwill of the people is barely struggling to survive a swim in the gutter of ill-wind."

Professor Wole Soyinka equally irked by the impunity with which the pastoralists operates Said

"These herdsmen, arrogant and unconscionable, have adopted a scorched-earth policy, so that those other producers – the cassava, cocoa, sorghum, rice etc farmers are brutally expelled from farm and dwelling.

This question is now current, and justified: just when is terror? I am not aware that IPOB came anywhere close to this homicidal propensity and will to dominance before it was declared a terrorist organization."
Stop using the massacre of the Middle belt people to compare the proscription of your chest beating Igbos. sad If you have nothing logical to say to the people of Benue, go hug a transformer with wet hands....

This thread is about the impunity and killings being carried out by the Fulani herdsmen, not about your verbally abusive, illogical IPOB group! angry

What manner of stupidity is this?
Those your so called fulanis that were murdered, was it done in Benue and by Benue indegenes?
You sounded so unreasonable and insanely stupid that I wonder the cage you are coming out of.
We are talking about 73 precious Benue lives that were cut short by you and your mudurous Fulani friends and you are justifying it with what happened else where.

Don't worry, you will soon face the same fate and maybe you will better understand.

What the Fulani herdsmen are doing should be a reason to hasten up with the restructuring of the country. This would enable the States to better organize an effective security outfit.
The Middlebelt should wake up and join with the SE, SS, and SW and move for restructuring. If we are serious, we should have the number to override Buhari veto.

It is military rule that got us to the mess we are in. No more military for us. If this was military government, Buhari and the Fulani herdsmen will just go ahead and establish the cattle grazing routes without any challenge. Democracy is the way to go. But we have to use our votes to get the government we want. In 2019, vote wisely.

Nobody is talking of the people killed in River state even CAN is silent but the Noise is about Benue killing because it's Fulani hardsmen that are involved...CAN is organizing prayer and fasting for Benue mascare but not even a church mass for Rivers Masacare....All because they want to give Buhari a bad name; They made the burial of Benue killing an international issue but we don't even know if the Rivers victims are buried or not.....Hypocrite!!!!Nigeria will succeed under Buhari!!!! #istandwitbenue,#istandwithrivers,#istandwithNigeria,#istandwithbuhari.
