Guy, the least advanced (in terms features) nokia phone out there is the Nokia 1202. Below is the current pricelist of the 5 least advanced Nokia phones
Nokia 1202. . .Halogen, Torchlight. . . .N3400
Nokia 1208. . .Colour, Torchlight. . . .N3900
Nokia 1209. . .Colour, Torchlight. . . .N4000
Nokia 1616. . .Colour, FM Radio (without Earpiece), Torchlight. . . .N4500 (out of stock in slot, but can be gotten elsewhere. Infact, I got one last week for N4000 and then bought a compatible earpiece for N500)
Nokia 1661. . . Colour, FM Radio, Torchlight. . . .N4700

Their are so many cheap nokia phones that are simple 2 operate ranging from 3500 to 7500, so u better go 2 any of nokia dealers to ask 4 more info

Buy any Nokia phone that has torchlight and radio. Make sure you teach him how to use the torchlight and the radio. Apart from making and receiving calls, these are the two other facilities he might use and appreciate. I recommend Nokia 1650.
