Introduction:


When you see the dead body of your loved ones

Lying in the casket, it looks as though he was sleeping.

You wonder how someone who could talk, run, smile, eat, etc just lie there as a log of wood .

What's the difference?

A great transformation has taken place.

You wonder how he is going to fare when placed six feet under the ground.

The transformation here is that the Spirit has left.

So, let's look at the body


1. The body houses the soul and the spirit.

The body is the connection of the soul and spirit to the physical world.

Senses such as taste, feel, sight smell reduces as one ages.

It means that as death approaches, the strength of the connection to the physical world reduces.

The connection reduces until the soul and the spirit break free.

The Bible says that the body profit nothing.

Why?


It is obvious that we are spending a whole lot of time in eternity where the body is not part of the show.

It decomposes.

At ressurection, we shall have an incorruptible body.

It is still going to be "you" (your soul) in that body.


Eternity can be spent in hell or Heaven.

The choice is yours.


We shall look at the Soul next.

During water baptism, (By immersion. Other forms are not biblical)


The body is buried in the water and then is ressurected in the name of the father and the son and the holy Spirit.


You become a new man after salvation, Your body is not renewed.


YOUR SOUL IS RENEWED. The appearance of your soul changes in the presence of God.


That takes us to the next discussion,

WHAT IS THE SOUL?

The soul is Who you really are.


Your thoughts, emotion, will, inner reasoning are the product of your Soul.

SOUL and spirit are very very inseparable.

The Bible records this about the word of God,


"......It is powerful to even penetrate what holds the soul and the spirit."

A child's soul is pure at birth, but corrupt because of it's connection to human race.

The body of the child is small, but souls are of the same size. Everyone's.

Nobody teaches a child how to keep malice.

He just learns how.


At salvation and baptism, the soul is regenerated . A new man emerge.

This new man has a change of heart, thought, will, emotions, etc.

The soul is eternal. Lives forever.


After dead, you just seize to exit in the body... Thee consiousness of you continues to live on.


You will still know that " You are you"


The knowledge of man is limited in the flesh.

Once the soul is free from the body,

EVERYTHING COMES TO LIGHT.

If you see another soul, you just know who he or she is.


After death,
The DREAD OF THE SUPREME GOD COMES .

You just know his influence. You will see his glory,

You will just want to worship and identify with the glory

But it will be too late. You won't be able to do that.

The soul will appear in FILTH. Dirty and disgusting.


You won't be able to approach his Throne with this appearance.


This alone, is purnishment alone. Unbearable torment.


Dont forget that the fallen Angels turned to Demons immediately THE GLORY OF GOD DEPARTED FROM THEM.


This is why demons are associated with dirt, filth, uncleanliness etc.the Bible calls them FOUL SPIRIT.

FOUL.... unclean. They were not unclean when they were angels.

The absence of the glory of God makes them unclean.

The same thing happens to a human soul that does not know God.

It is unclean.

The spirit of a man makes him alive.


It goes back to God after death.

The soul is judged.


I will talk about the spirit of man in connection with the spirit of God.

Before we Sinned in the garden of Eden,


Man's Spirit communicates with God's spirit easily.

However, after the fall, man became separated from God.

Man's Spirit still longs for his fellowship, that is why religion can be a powerful tool to shapen or corrupt a man.


At the death of Jesus Christ, the connection was restored through the holy Spirit.

The holy Spirit connects man back to God.
