BetaThings: But to insist someone is Chadian when he is not is engaging in propaganda. They introduced politics into a matter that is straightforward. I personally don't feel he is Chadian if not he wouldn't even have ever worked in the NIA. Holding him to ransom because of his past that he had no way in determining is not being fair to him. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Myself2: Don't mind that one! He voted for a clueless and wicked man and turns around to massage his bruised pride by telling us he/she still believes Buhari is better than Jonathan. Yet, the Buhari has taken nepotism and tribalism to the highest levels known to man, destroying almost all our sacred institutions in his wake. And someone is still making useless comparisons, instead of owning up to the fact that he voted in such a waste of time of a president. 6 Likes 1 Share |

When we discuss national security in this country, people tend to discuss, based on their tribal and religious affinity. Then, the partisan "yes-men" and "we-against-them" proponents, tend to elevate it to a shouting fit. As at this moment in this country, Nigeria. A fine line have been drawn on the sand. Its either you are for, or against. Objectivity, and sincere national discuss have been defeated by sectional preservative rhetorics. The issue with the recent appointment of the DG, NIA should be a thing of concern both to victorious 97 Percenters and the wailling 5 percenters. Wholesale off-load of the men who have dossiers upon dossiers of security materials of this nation, just to please a few of the "cabal" is a dangerous adventure, to say the least. Likewise, the appointment of a man with questionable nationality, and dual allegiance is also a no no in the security world. I will be surprised if the powers that be would ever do anything to correct this anomaly, it happened in the police force, and nothing was done. We should endeavour to keep our security as a nation away from partisan influence. If the death actually see and hear what the living are doing, believe me, "many men" who gave it all to serve and defend this country, would be turning in their countless unmarked graves, regretting why they ever have to die in the first place. I am not a happy man. 4 Likes |

usba:Your response shows that you're a bigger fool for wasting your precious bandwidth on my supposed foolery. I wouldn't have glorified you with a response because your zombieism is like a rattle snake with a tai-chi kind of venom. But, ignoring you will mislead some gullible people that may not know how despicable your line of thought is. For the records, I never said the recommendations of the panel are binding on whoever that set the panel. My comment was only to draw attention to the fact that the presidency totally abandoned the recommendations of the panel, and went as far as appointing a foreigner with controversial records as the DIG of NIA. This is not only nepotistic in outlook but also against the conventions guiding the NIA. You are a fellow countryman so I will not give up on you despite your penchant for prehistoric display of orientation. I will do whatever it takes to make sure you're delivered from this your self inflicted pathological disability for truth... 1 Like 1 Share |

This country is in trouble. Nigeria cant be in this state and lay claim to having any credible intelligence organization. We all see the rubbish the DSS are made to do in recent times. I just tire |

Why are the directors hiding behind anonymity? Bunch of cowards, why can't they come out or go to court? 1 Like |

usba: Though virtually all your comments on here are laced with bitterness and lack objectivity and often times credibiity. However, I am forced to partially agree with you on this one. Apparently, the directors raised some points worth looking into. Still, it is a question of motive. Is their motive selfless and considerate of general public interest? I am not for any of the party in this rivalry. |

GavelSlam: Did you just quote me to refer the presidency tweet? Is it not that same presidency that accused the present Senate President of all the corruptible acts in the book, which you so helped in disseminating in the social web sphere, including this forum. Just because you have an internet enabled cell phone, does not mean that you are invited in a national security discuss. I suggest that you use your data to hook up with peers on Facebook and tweeter. You can as well check out some porn sites, but leave national security for those that understand the language. National security is not about what the presidency said. Do you sincerely expect them, not to defend their choice of appointment? All these careless security missteps and calculated bastardisation of sacred institutions will still come back to hunt us as a nation. not as an Hausa man, Igboman, or a Yoruba. We face a serious threat as a nation, and some felt that everything is OK, because some men are out there working to keep us safe. Let's keep deceiving ourselves, hoping to score a cheap political point. Its been about Three decades that this NIA have been in operation, and all of a sudden the ikoyi whistle blower, and this appointment. Can't we sit back and ask ourselves some questions? 1 Like |
