Wazobia Awards Debuts
Wazobia Awards, a unique and origina Naija Awards is set to rock the Nigerian entertainment industry come October, 2010.
Co-ordinator of the project, Laface, top-line showbiz practitioner, disclosed that Wazobia Awards is the brainchild of Concept Elixir Ltd, an entertainment company based in Lagos.

Unlike other award projects, Wazobia Awards dares to be different in every way; celebrating the original Naija flavour and creating a major avenue to sell our unique potentials to the outside world.

Hence, the need for Nigerians to come together to build Wazobia Awards a project that will represent our common identity and further project our culture and tradition to the rest of the world.

He averred as “Patua” is known and identified with Jamaicans so also Pidgin can be identified strongly with Nigerians.

The official language for Wazobia Awards will be Pidgin, a lingo that cuts across the different ethnic groups in Nigeria; thereby creating a unique concept to be celebrated by all and sundry. Thus creating an all embracing appeal for the project.

Nominations for Wazobia awards will cut across key entertainment spheres of music, movies, comedy, sports and business. Nomination for each category will be determined by the people hence the tag The People Awards Nominations will take off in July and run through to September 2010.
