I am aware of such an episode recently. Customers were paid double for their withdrawals and they gladly took the money away except for a certain pastor who came into the bank and reported the issue.

Through atm report logs, the other customers who received Christmas gifts from the ATM were contacted and they were surprised, they never believed the bank could reach them considering the fact that the ATM was not that of their banks. They paid pack!

I REMEMBERED RETURNING A WOMANS HAND BAG THAT FELL WHEN I WAS ON MY WAY TO PHOTOCOPY MY NYSC CERTIFICATE ON THE 1ST OF FEBRUARY. I THOUGHT I WOULD BE HAILED AND PROBABLY REWARDED BUT THE REVERSE WAS THE CASE. SHE STARTED SHOUTING AT ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE BAG HOME AND SEE IF I WOULD WAKE UP THE NEXT DAY. SHE COUNTED THE MONEY IN THE BAG AND ACCUSED ME OF REMOVING 2500 AND TO MY GREATEST SURPRISE THE PEOPLE ARROUND BELIEVED HER. ONLY ONE OLD WOMAN STOOD FOR ME AND THREATENED THE CROWD THAT IF ANY BODY TOUCH ME THE PERSON WOULD NEVER BE OLD. I WAS JUST DUMBFOUNDED, I JUST DROPPED THE BAG ON THE GROUND AND LEFT. I WAS VERY UNHAPPY, I REGRETTED PICKING THAT BAG. I WOULD NEVER FORGET THAT DAY
