Fake news. SIM cards and atm cards are not programmed with the same algorithm.

They both can be reprogrammed to whatever you want....SIMs & ATM Cards.

Not holding briefs for the OP or indicating if this is real or fake, just saying that it is plausible.

Also, SIMs have a vulnerability that makes them hackable...you can flood the SIM with messages until the SIM sends an error message containing its unique access key.

Once you get that key, you can access every information stored on the SIM Card, including contacts, account numbers, PINs, passwords, etc.

This man by name Maxwell Chuks was caught somewhere in Lagos using MTN sim card attached to a sim pack to withdraw money from other people’s account.The method he uses was to insert the sim pack into the ATM machine and type a code embedded on each account number written on a piece of paper for him. Found in his possession was a paper bearing account numbers of different people, MTN sim pack and a pen.

Robbery has gone digital.

Our policemen need to be more professional in their appearance, treatment of criminals and how they restrain suspects. yeah, these bloggers can lie ehn. moreover, judging on my own little idea, I can't reason for now how that is possible in the first place. There is microchip on every ATM cards which is encoded with a specific user's bank account details . ATM is a special purpose real-time machine and I believe that it performs some verification and validation techniques on every card slotted. I don't think the ATM could validated MTN SIM pack considering the fact that sim module is encoded with different array as opposed the ATMcard module. I stand to be corrected though
