One aspect I have realised from my Umidigi Z1 Pro vs Samsung Note 8......

A couple of places I usually frequent with very poor GSM signal on my Umidigi Z1 Pro, I visit the same places with my Samsung Note 8 and no network signal drop is experienced........

Make out of that what you may.......

Umidigi got a special place in my heart.......

Longest time, how you dey?

Note 8, still killing me with excessive features. Still not fully explored the s pen advanced features yet.....
Re: Samsung Note 8, Anyone? by Lexusgs430: 11:56pm On Mar 02
About the keyboard on the Note 8. The best keyboard app to use to fully utilise the s pen, is the Samsung default keyboard. I prefer the SwiftKey keyboard, but losing some functionalities on the S Pen.....

I hope SwiftKey implements it in future updates or get the sdk file to implement....

NB : Would have to send SwiftKey a nice email, requesting an update or consideration........

Bluetooth 5.0 (dual audio feature) - It simply allows you connect 2 Bluetooth devices at the same time. So 2 people could listen to the same thing in peace, without any disturbances........

I have heard good things about Bixby, not explored it yet. Started exploring S pen advanced features. Picture and background manipulation using S Pen.

Would start exploring Bixby, as soon as I complete my online tutorial of the magic pen.........

Bluetooth 5.0 - Another function it could be used for is, listening through your earbuds while driving and it's still pairs with your infotainment system.

Once a call comes through, your in car system picks the call, while still listening to music or online radio via your earbuds.......

Trying a simplified launcher on this Samsung Galaxy Note 8, it's called AIO Launcher........

I am actually loving the very nature of this app. No whistle and trumpets, just what is required..... The basic is free, but best to get the Pro version....

Another feature on the Note 8, which can be used on the edge is the App pairing feature.......

It's a repacked split screen, but implemented much better....

Another launcher that looks very good on my device is, SquareHome 2.

It's got the basic and pro version, best to get pro to fully utilise and enjoy the appearance......

Re: Samsung Note 8, Anyone? by Lexusgs430: 8:37pm On Mar 07
I am a bluetooth freak and only use bluetooth connectable devices (earbuds, bluetooth speakers, headphones etc etc).

One problem with bluetooth or me been lazy, is the ability to set each device to a particular volume while connected. The answer to this problem is an app called Bluetooth volume control by Darken.

After downloading, once devices are paired, you can set the volume for each individual devices connected ........

Got a new generation screen protector aka 5D.... It actually spreads to the edge and offers very good protection for the screen.... It would surely absorb the impact, if a phone falls face down...

I have double protection now on my Note. I use an original Samsung issued clear view case, which offers adequate protection + 5D screen protector (I no get N50K to replace screen)....

NB: I am sure fibonacci2526 owns shares in a 5D screen protector company......
