The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ camera has dual aperture f/1.5 and f/2.4

1.5 and 2.5 is the value of the fstop.

The lower the value of the fstop the wider the aperture.

Wider aperture means more light can get into the image sensor of the camera.

And the smaller the aperture means less light would get into the sensor of the camera.

So in the S9 and S9+ it uses f/2.5 (smalller aperture) when it’s day time so little light can go into the sensor and at night or low light conditions it changes to f/1.5 (wider aperture) to allow more light in so your image can look great in the dark.

So Samsung took the s8, moved the finger print sensor below the camera, and added some modifications to the camera and called it s9? They should have totally skipped the s9 if they couldn't come up with something new. Why get an s9 if you have an s8? Because of a slow motion camera you probably will never use
