OYC lauds Ugwuanyi, Ikpeazu, Umahi for youths empowerment

UMUAHIA—OHANAEZE Youths Council, OYC, has again praised Governors Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, Dave Umahi of Ebonyi and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu States, for what it called their youth-friendly administration, saying the youths have endorsed them for 2019 ”to enable them continue the empowerment of the youths as leaders of tomorrow”.


According to OYC, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has ”stabilized the State through his youth and people oriented and transparent policies” and it commended him for the swift manner he handled the threat of herdsmen in the state, and promised to mobilize massively to ensure his re-election to continue to mentor and give youths, a sense of belonging.

For Governor Dave Umahi, OYC commended him for his agricultural revolution programme which they said ”has saved Nigeria from massive importation of rice and has helped to raise the nation’s GDP. ”His urban renewal programme and light-up-Ebonyi programme has endeared him to the people of Ebonyi. Through his neighbourhood security watch, Ebonyi has remained safe.”

On Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Ohanaeze youths praised him for ”resuscitating Made-in-Aba products and making it a global brand. ”His massive transformation projects across Abia State are eloquent testimonies that Ikpeazu remains the best Governor Abia has had since creation. Ikpeazu is the symbol of Abia unity as he offered hands of friendship to the opposition”.

A statement signed by OYCfs Secretary General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike and the Publicity Secretary, Obinna Adibe, has therefore called the people of the three States to support the governors for 2019 and promised to organize what they called great Igbo declaration soon in Aba to rally more support for the three governors.
