Federer has his eyes set on a number of records during the Pacific Life Open:
[li]Currently on a personal-best winning streak of 41 matches, Federer would set a new Open Era record (since 1968) for the longest winning streak (47 matches) if he wins the title. Guillermo Vilas currently holds the record of 46 matches.[/li]

[li]Federer has 495 career match victories. He would reach the elusive 500 match wins milestones if he advances to the final.[/li]

[li]With $29.88 million in career earnings, Federer is poised to top $30 million during the tournament.[/li]

[li]If he wins the title Federer have won the past eight tournaments has has played, tying the record currently shared by Bjorn Borg, Ivan Lendl and John McEnroe.[/li]
As usual, Federer is the favourite to win the tournament. Who will stop him from breaking the records above?

Federer just chose to make an exist cos he was feeling lazy this week. wink I'm worried my favourite playes all seemed to "choose" to go out early in the tournament. Federer, Berdych, Safin, Blake, ,
I only just realised they were all making way for one my other favourite young guns (Gasquet, Murray, Djokivic) or Gonzalez/Ljubicic to win their first master shied so it ain't that bad, cool

SMH @ a retrieving clay-courter winning Pacific Life ahead of the likes of Roddick and Ljubicic. Even when Federer decided to give them a chance by exiting early these clowns still can't do nuthing! Their only real chance's just gone under water, Federer wouldn't be that lenient for a another looooooooooooooooooooooooooog time to come. Bunch of morons if you ask me.
