Don't completely agree with you on d thong thing. The purpose of thongs have been abused and defeated. Nowadays, u see ladies wearing thongs and you can trace d lines. And it's so disgusting and embarrassing.

Just wear good cotton panties with flat edges and you're cool. If lines can be traced at all, they will be very faint.
